I randomly stumbled upon "50 of the Greatest WWE Pyros (1998-2011)" on YouTube, and really, even aside from the relative lack of superstar entrance pyro... even PPV and Raw/Smackdown show-starting pyro seems a lot less grandiose and creative nowadays.
I don't know the last time we saw streamer pyro (a la the Dudleys' entrance or the epic WMXX opening pyro) or ceiling pyro in much capacity. It just seems like they used SO MUCH OF IT back around the turn of the millennium.
Yeah, I know it's not vitally important, but it makes things more epic and memorable, which is definitely something that WWE has been lacking in a lot of ways lately.

I think they blew most of their pyro budget on that one Drew McIntyre entrance (I think) least year.

It became nothing special because so many had it so the got rid of most of it.

I think they blew most of their pyro budget on that one Drew McIntyre entrance (I think) least year. Why? Drew McIntyre's entrance was awesome enough without pyro. Meanwhile, Jack Swagger is somewhere alone, cold, hungry, and pyroless. Never forget.

I say just save pyro for ppv's and really special occasions. Seems silly to have a guy have such a grand entrance for a 3 minute TV match.
Likewise, some guys have pyro while others don't. Seems uneven honestly.

I say the pyro needs to be leaved for the main eventers, like, I'm surprised Cena hasn't had it at all, he's the kind of guy that would flaunt himself, regardless of his nice guy attitude.
Using it for, say, Shelton Benjamin on a regular basis just because he beat Triple H is pushing it, especially when after being knocked down a peg he still uses it.

Daniel Bryan needs one of those fountain pyros for his entrance.
And a cape... yes.

Well, ever since Meet the Pyro was released, he's been in higher demand.

^I would gladly exchange the Usos' pyro in exchange for getting their full length Siva Tau dance back.

Speaking of McIntyre and Swagger Never Forget! I close my eyes and pretend that it's Dolph Ziggler standing over Swagger instead of Drew, shaking his ass and flicking hair gel at the WWE Universe.

It also seems that it's not just pyro they cut back on now. But also the stages as well. I remember when you would get awesome creative entrance ramps with kick ass stages. Now they just rehash the same lights from one show to another.
