So, if this continues for a while, with Sakamoto getting beaten up by his Lord Tensai. It's only a matter of time for the guy to finally stand up for himself and fight back, Miz/A-Ry and Virgil/MDM style right? Would you like that?
Personally, I didn't like Sakamoto all of a sudden getting beaten up by Tensai. I preferred him being the sort of helper manager person that helped Tensai cheat with his brutal kicks and foreign weapons and stuff. But if there's a good reaction for Sakamoto to fight back that would be a warming feeling. Must be the inner-mark in me watching the show, hoping the poor little guys getting their retribution finally.

I thought after he did it once, he'd stop coming out with him. Now, he keeps doing it and it's just....awkward. The crowd don't seem particularly arsed, so it just seems weird.

I can explain it!
Sakamoto isn't Tensai's manager, he's his follower. So even if Tensai doesn't want him to follow him, Sakamoto will still do it because he thinks Tensai's a monster and can destroy everyone.

The problem is, we have no reason to care about Tensai and Sakamoto's relationship, so why should we care if Sakamoto finally revolts against his master?
They already have this angle ready to pull the trigger on, but the money is with Ricardo turning on Del Rio.

No-one cares about Tensai. No-one cares about Sakamoto. No-one cares.

I think Sakamoto's role of getting thrashed by Tensai every time he loses will be the saving grace and WWE won't have to repackage him out of desperation.
Albert does look like a Japanese shogun/samurai/whatever with that mustache and squinty eyes, he could make the character believable and awesome if he maybe changed his red diaper and wore something like what Meng wore during his last WWF run, among other tweaks.
But, as far as kicking Sakamoto's ass, of course Sak will eventually make the Virgil turn before fizzling out.

It just looks weird. It looks like some sort of sado-masochistic relationship.

It just looks weird. It looks like some sort of sado-masochistic relationship. They should show a wet spot at the front of Sakamoto's pants every time Tensai beats him up. "King, would you look at that? He wet his pants!" "No way, Cole, that's too small to be a urine stain."

It's stupid. Is this meant for us to "hate" the Hip Hop Hippo even more? If they really want to get a reaction out of me regarding him...tell me he's been released ;D

Personally, unless a guy is turning heel or face, I don't like any wrestlers beating up their valets/managers. It would have been odd to see Rick Rude killing Bobby Heenan on a regular basis, or Earthquake squashing Jimmy Hart. The manager should be an aid to the wrestler, not a victim.

There's no way I'd buy Sakamoto taking Tensai down anyway. When you look at duo's like Miz/A-Ry and MDM/Virgil, they were in the same ballpark as far as size and strength goes. If Sak' tried to take Tensai in a straight up fight he'd probably get demolished. Only way I'd buy it is if Sakamoto turned on Tensai mid match and laid him out with a chair and cost him a big match.

Tensai got a good reaction after his Sakamoto beat down on Monday, which is a good sign going forward.

One of the only things I like about Tensai is him shoving Sakamoto out of the way during his entrance.
Full on beating him up after matches and then having him come out next time like nothing happened is dumb though. When he did that beat down on Sakamoto the first time I figured they were writing sakamoto off.

The beating up on Sakomoto stuff is weird. It seems like it's going to/should lead somewhere, but I have a feeling it just won't. Me too. His match vs. Sheamus definitely made me want to see more of him. Add me into this group. He's one of the few people that I actually sit up and pay attention to on Raw(/Smackdown) anymore.

They should push more backstage stuff. That might build a little more interest in their relationship and add to people wanting to see Sakamoto break out from under Tensai. Show him running errands, performing submissive behavior (like always walking three steps behind Tensai, never looking him in the eyes, etc).
I can see a scene where Tensai is sitting in his lockerroom at a short japanese table, wearing a kimono and eating. Sakamoto pours him tea, it's not to Tensai's liking and he throws the cup at him and yells. Maybe Sakamoto is arranging some plants as Tensai walks into him room, in a bad mood, and asfter watching 'Moto carefully set up his arrangement, Tensai calmly walks over and smashes it. I think there's some potential to show some of this Lord/Worshipper relationship that they've built up.
