How can you not miss the push kick and head butt? He never had a proper finish, other wish, he might have stayed around a bit longer. He did use a crappy standing spinebuster thing.

True, but like you said, it was pretty crappy finish. When a rookie Otunga does a better spinebuster than you, it is time to adopt a new move. Should have just stuck with the headbutt, looked killer on smaller guys. I thought he broke Noble's ribs in their match.

He had a good look and kickass entrance music (sounded like Rammstein if they were Russian instead of German). Sticking him in comedy skits was funny because his character was not supposed to be funny in the least. However, he was downright horrible in the ring. He wasn't strong enough to do crisp-looking power moves, his "mat wrestling" looked ridiculous coming from somebody with his look and gimmick and he somehow parlayed all this into main eventing against Triple H. Remember how before WM 25, it came down to either him or HBK who would take on the Undertaker? Just imagine if that match would've been UT/Koslov instead of the classic we got. I don't care how much 'Taker's turned into a really good wrestler, I can't see him being able to do ANYTHING with Koslov that would've made that match any better than the UT/Kamala or UT/Sid matches of yesteryear. It would have been the s***s. My favorite memory was that one time he came out on ECW (I think) dressed in full military get-up. I remember thinking "way to go against the grain, WWE, I knew it was a matter of time before the Russian guy was typecast as a soldier defending an empire (the USSR) that fell 20 years ago!" And then the next week he was back to his old, bland, mediocre self. So weird. Kozlov had a good match with Taker on Smackdown. As for the Russian soldier thing, I took it as a character moment. "This is who I am back home, when not wrestling." Russia's always been a pretty militarized state and they are currently run by a former KGB agent

The tag-team with Santino worked - especially since the feud involved Sheamus, WWE just made the mistake of not pushing Koslov here and instead kept giving John Morrison the save.
Santino should have continued to get bad-ass heels pissed off with him because of his comedy with Koslov as a fantastic straight man who should have been able to protect Santino

I miss that big lug too. I prefer smiling Kozlov compared to angry Russian Kozlov. The Cold War is over. Get with the times.
