I mean, say what you will of his simply terrible push when he first came in, but once they teamed him with Santino, he actually became pretty likeable and showed a lot of charisma - maybe not in the ring all the time, but the dance-off or when him and Santino dressed as proper British gentlemen, complete with bowler hats? That was awesome.
Also, he kinda reminds me of the ninth Doctor (Eccleston?) from certain angles, which might help. So yeah, is this a sign that I might have the nostalgia goggles on full bore, or was he really improving before his release?

Him and Santino had something special. They were the only "Put together" team that felt natural and together. I do miss him, he was very entertaining during the tail end of his tenure.

Not really, even when teaming with Santino his matches didn't interest me in the slightest. They had about 5 matches against Gabriel and Slater that were all basically identical.

I miss his affection for Double Double E. As do I. Aksana has yet to fill that hole declaring her love the Double Double E ever since NXT.

"It was greatest upset in history of WWE ever!"
Shame they got rid of him, I really thought he'd hit his stride.

I felt he found his niche after he got drafted to ECW. Basically... red shorts Kozlov > white trunks Kozlov.

I always liked Koslov; I thought having a mat-based monster heel was a good idea.

He had a good look and kickass entrance music (sounded like Rammstein if they were Russian instead of German). Sticking him in comedy skits was funny because his character was not supposed to be funny in the least. However, he was downright horrible in the ring. He wasn't strong enough to do crisp-looking power moves, his "mat wrestling" looked ridiculous coming from somebody with his look and gimmick and he somehow parlayed all this into main eventing against Triple H. Remember how before WM 25, it came down to either him or HBK who would take on the Undertaker? Just imagine if that match would've been UT/Koslov instead of the classic we got. I don't care how much 'Taker's turned into a really good wrestler, I can't see him being able to do ANYTHING with Koslov that would've made that match any better than the UT/Kamala or UT/Sid matches of yesteryear. It would have been the s***s.
My favorite memory was that one time he came out on ECW (I think) dressed in full military get-up. I remember thinking "way to go against the grain, WWE, I knew it was a matter of time before the Russian guy was typecast as a soldier defending an empire (the USSR) that fell 20 years ago!" And then the next week he was back to his old, bland, mediocre self. So weird.

Remember when he caught taker coming down from old school with a powerslam and got a clean pin?
WTF moment in wrestling for sure.

He and Santino were great. I saw them at a houseshow about ten days before he was released, and the last couple of pictures I took of them shows Kozlov signing an autograph, and with his arm around Santino's shoulders. Kinda bittersweet, looking back on it. His release that Friday was the most surprising to me out of all of them.

His match with Festus that was like a three minute brawl was pretty awesome. He'd never get past the mid card but I would've liked to have seen him bring that sort of physical match style to lower card/mid card matches.

I miss his heel theme song. Sounded like music that would play in an Eastern European drug filled night club.

I liked the little jobber squashing pissing contest that Kozlov and Zeke had going on.

The english tea party with Santino is still awesome to this day. Disliked him when he was getting the WWE Championship push, to say the least. But once they put him with Marella he was the greatest, plus the guy can dance like no one else!

How can you not miss the push kick and head butt? He never had a proper finish, other wish, he might have stayed around a bit longer.

As said his team with Santino fit like a glove. They were both pretty over as a team.
And being there live for Santino's tea party I can tell you it was a riot. The crowd even got a Kozlov chant started. Probably his finest moment.
