...where their absence, when worn with trunks, makes a wrestler look so much more naked? Seriously, props to the man for being reasonably in shape, but Mr. Bob Backlund tonight honestly looked more like something I'd see in the YMCA locker room than a pro wrestler. Even the last person we complained about this alleviated it. Although for whatever reason it seems less pronounced in vintage wrestling, can we just kind of have a written rule that if you wear trunks, you have to also wear pads?

^Glad Cody started wearing kneepads, but now I'm seriously missing his singular elbowpad.

When he had the old school socks, the look worked. When he had the smaller boots as Dashing/Undashing Cody Rhodes he just looked like someone stole his clothes.

I'm not familiar with rugby, so I'm not familiar with those things around Antonio Cesaro's thighs. Is that supposed to be part of the gimmick? It kinda weirds me out that he has those instead of kneepads.
Even with the former rugby player gimmick, I wish he stuck with the long pants.

For whatever reason, kneepads make trunks look much less like underwear, even generic black pads.

Cena stole Backlund's knee pads when he traveled to 1975.
