El Generico?
I was thinking about where they might go with the Steen thing now that they've decided to play him as a full on heel. Since they've also announced that every singles match Steen has in ROH from now on will be a World Title match I can see him having numerous successful defences.
So I'm just gonna go with the big defences. The next iPPV is Death Before Dishonor so at the event I'd like to see Steen defend against Rhett Titus. Titus has to be in for a push given the fact that he's already over and will doubtless receive some sympathy cheers since his partner left him in a lurch.
Anyway Titus vs. Steen headlines Death Before Dishonor, Rhett puts up a good fight and they tease him winning the match several times (hopefully sending the crowd into a bit of a frenzy) but he ultimately comes up a little short. This event will also be the blowoff of the House of Truth feud with Elgin defeating Strong clean and taking out Martini after the match.
So at Glory by Honor the event is headlined by Steen vs. Elgin. They have a competitive and brutal match, powerbombs everywhere. I'd tease an Elgin win by having him hit the Buckle Bomb/Spinning Powerbomb combination only to have a recovering referee's slow count allow Steen to kick out. Maybe have Elgin kick out of the F-Cinq to really put him over. Ultimately Steen wins. After the match Steen, Jacobs and Corino start pummeling Elgin. The ref gets taken out. All of a sudden Generico returns and takes down all three men. Throws them all into one corner and hits a triple Yakuza Kick. Then the BRAINBUSTAH! on Steen.
Final Battle comes and it's Steen vs. Generico. Great match, usual crazy antics, multiple kick-outs. Generico eventually wins with the BRAINBUSTAH!
Kinda poetic that after Steen turned on Generico at FB09, Generico rid ROH of Steen at FB10, Steen returned at FB11 and the long story arc ends with Generico beating Steen for the title at FB12.
So, thoughts? Like, dislike? Anyone have a better way of booking up until the end of the year? Or you know could just be: TL;DR.
