I'd say Brodus Clay is more of a nod to Akeem. Much like OMG, Brodus was presented as a killer when he debuted on NXT & backed Del Rio. Then, he underwent a transformation into a groovy dancer. And, Brodus wrestles more like Akeem than say a Flash Funk.
However, the biggest ripoff ever, would have to go to a guy like Gillberg, or the fake Diesel & fake Razor Ramon.

Jack Swagger should be in Miz's place in this poll

Weird choices. I wouldn't say The Brian Kendrick was like Michaels... Michaels's gimmick was that he was a male stripper, and Kendrick wasn't anything close to that. And if Clay is a rip-off of anyone, it's Bob Sapp. Seriously, watch one of his old Japanese entrances and compare it to Clay.
The choices are really weird, given that so many new gimmicks are such blatant, obvious "reimaginings" of old ones, saying there's a connection between Miz and Jericho, for instance, seems like a stretch. What about Umaga/Kamala? Sandow/Genius? Rhodes/Mankind?

"Miz as Jericho lite" Jericho as Bockwinkel lite At least Jericho admitted to it, and Bockwinkel had been retired for ages. As soon as Jericho left in 2010, Miz instantly stole his promo style and started wearing business suits and ties.

Miz and Jericho have completely diffent wrestling styles and promo materials, despite all that suit and SRS stuff. This one just has to be Ryback as Goldberg.

Even Miz's suits ended up differing a lot from Jericho's. You'd see Miz with plaid jackets and pants, far away from the black and grey stuff SRS Jericho had.

blackjack mulligan from blackjack lanza
I recall reading a story once. Mulligan tells Lanza he's going to be borrowing his look and then just lists everything. Lanza offers him his glove, too, because he's stealing everything but the name Lanza

Miz as Jericho lite and I almost wretched when he started wearing an Edge-like jacket with no shirt look.

Just like Chris Jericho before him, The Miz ditched everything that made him stand out & started to be SRS Jericho Jr
