So in the original DX runa nd pror, I loved Triple H, and even a little after. Then when he started being part of 50% of the show, getting roided out, losing his ability to work as well, etc I lost interest and eventually hated the guy like alot of the IWC, just before I slowly lost interest in the show, in about 03 (It wasn't a "screw this, I'm not watching" thing. More like I missed the show cuz of work and found that I gradually stopped caring if I forgot to set the VCR).
After coming back about a year ago, I've found myself getting into his buildup and match at WM against Taker, his stuff with Lesnar and Heyman especially, and the DX reunion. I wonder if not having him shoved down my throat for a long time has changed my opinion about him on my TV, if it's the interaction with people I do like (Taker, Heyman and the rest of DX), or if I'm just gone mellow in my old age. I'm not nearly the angry smark I was 10-15 years ago, perfering now to take bad wrestling as still fun.
Anyone else have someone they didn't care for, but after an absence found their opinions changed?

I think Miz's recent return is a great example of this.
Guy just bored me before he left, but when I heard his music hit at Money in the Bank, I was glad to see him. Definitely a lot bigger of a fan now that he spent some time away.

I don't know. Maybe we should test this theory by taking AJ off of tv for 10 years and then bringing her back to see if I like her more.

I swear to God when I looked at this thread I thought it said "Dean Ambrose Makes the Heart Grow Fonder" and I was not the least bit surprised. Perhaps it's time for bed

Yes, I remember Big Show coming back and peeps were happy to see him. Now... well same old, same old.

Yes, I remember Big Show coming back and peeps were happy to see him. Now... well same old, same old. I have always, and will always, like Show - I just hate this current gimmick. I wish they'd let him be funny again, he's got great comedic timing - but "big monster I smash you!" Show is just boring, IMO.

I would never miss Del Rio.
I'm beyond sick of HHH as his ego dictates he has to always be doing doing the most important thing on the show. Or whenever something gets hot he has to put himself in it.

You know when I was at the Royal Rumble and heard Del Rio's music hit I marked just a bit despite my utter boredom with him. Of course with it being RR instead I marked even harder. And now that he's back well....ZzzzZzzzzz....

One of my favorite moments as a fan during the Attitude Era was Val Venis randomly coming back near the end of Raw. I hadn't even realized he was gone, yet when his music hit and JR told us he was back from a sprained neck, I completely marked out.

Nope. Just look at the reaction to Rey Mysterio returning two weeks ago. And he was gone for nearly a year.

Yeah it's kind of like "oh Rey is back.... whatever"
apathy. I mean I'd rather see him Del Rio or Sheamus, but still apathy.
