Ok, the mid-late 90's in WWF there was this tag team. I believe they were French faces. They were getting a pretty good push and some decent TV time, when they were injured in a car accident which effectively ended their careers. I believe two other WWF wrestlers were in the car with them who suffered minor injuries, but were back in the ring in a week or two.
I know I haven't given much info and some of my details may be wrong, but I was thinking about this the other day and it's been driving me nuts. Who were they?
Edit: If it helps, the time was pre-attitude era (or JUST as it was starting), and I think Sid was maybe one of the passengers in the car.

Didnt they originate the Lance Stromish 'boring' gimmick too? And then turn heel? I kinda remember these guys, they feuded with Bulldog and Owen, but then joined them later I think...

I remember those guys, there were also in ECW, and I think even had the ECW tag team titles for a brief stint in December 1997 as I recall. They were decent, had many matches with Bulldog/Owen, but never got the WWE Tag belts.

I remember them having an awesome match with the Hardy Boyz, when the Hardy Boyz were still jobbers.

Yes, they did hold the ECW Tag Titles in December of 97 but were defeated the next day by Chris Candido and Lance Storm in a 3 way dance (Balls and Axl were the other team). They were a part of the WWF contingent that was trying to take over ECW. Even though most of the actual WWF guys who were part of this group weren't all that impressive. (Brakus was also part of this group.)

what even became of Brakus? I remember seeing promos hyping him but never actually saw him in a match.

Taz squashed him in ECW, he went back to train some more. then he was in the first round of the Brawl For All tournament where Savio Vega kicked his ass. i never saw him again after that.

I never understood why Furnas and Lafon never got over. Yea they weren't that charismatic, but damn they had the most awesome maneuvers. It wasn't like that were just spot monkeys, they had good matches.
There are times in the business you wonder what the heck is going on and this was one of those moments.

Yeah, seriously, I used to love them as a kid, I thought they were cool and wanted to see them as champs so bad. Oh, well, you can't win them all.

I remember these guys never had a double team finisher but a series of moves, something like a clothesline into a kick to the back of the head to a DDT, which I thought was cool
