I don't know too much about the specifics of how it would have played out as I don't think it was ever planned out to begin with so we can use this thread to plan it out ourselves.
For those who don't know the angle was pitched by Glenn Gilbertti (Disco Infero) to Vince Russo in 2000. Russo has said he thought the idea was hilarious and loved it, but it was not right for TV. In the angle Mike Tenay would eventually be revealed as the alien's leader.
So how does this play out? Who are the aliens? How is Mike Tenay revealed? What is the payoff?

You know, during WCW's last year, they absolutely should have done something like this. They had nothing to lose, just do something so batshit crazy like that.
Guarantee we'd still be talking about it today, whereas there aren't a lot of Magnificent 7 Appreciation threads in this board.

That would have been both the greatest and worst thing ever. At the same time.
Damn you, Russo!

Oh, how I wish that this would have made it to air. This would have been the greatest thing in the history of our sport.

I wonder if it would have led to a WarGames match of "Aliens vs. Battledome".

Someone should have pitched that for ECW on Sci Fi.

Someone should have pitched that for ECW on Sci Fi. You probably know this already, but a martian actually was pitched for the debut episode. However, it was shot down in favor of the Zombie

wasn't there a rumor that an entire year's worth of storylines was going to be erased when it was revealed that it had all been a dream Sting was having?

I would've loved that, Just for the sheer audacity of it. Also Jim Cornette said "If Disco Inferno goes near a booking office, Shoot him" He wanted to do an Invisible Man & evil architect called Bill Ding

All I remember is that the reveal of the leader would be one wrestler coming out to say he knows who it is, that wrestling getting attacked/distracted or something, but then the camera would cut to a shot of Tenay at the announce table, who'd smile and grow a set of antennae. And erasing a year's worth of booking as a fever dream of Sting's would be the greatest thing to ever happen.

Well, New Beijing Pro Wrestling has an invisible man. It should be noted that New Beijing Pro Wrestling isn't a fed per se but rather a banner in which Japanese company DDT runs some shows where all their wrestlers take on Chinese gimmicks.

There was a rumor that the April 10th 2000 "reboot" would have started with Scott Hall waking from a drunken stupor, proclaiming the last several months to be a bad dream.
