y'know, to their credit, at least they let her stay dead for a few years. when they DO inevitably bring her back it'll actuall mean something. I mean Cap was dead for what 2 years? Johnny Storm was "dead" for even less time than that.
that's what's really killing me about these crossovers. they kill a major character every single time and they only stay dead for like 3 months at most.

Cap was never actually dead though, just lost in time, like Batman.
Johnny Storm was dead, several times, but bugs kept bringing him back.
Neither were as bad as Thor. Dies in Fear Itself, is shown to be about to be eaten by the Demogorge, flies away, is alive again. Less than 3 months.
Bill Foster has to be up there, died in Civil War, not yet back.
I'd expect Bendis to bring Jan back in Ultron War, whenever that happens, as Jack of Hearts and Lang are back, so it's sort of like the Bendis era is being restored to status quo ready for Hickman.

then she'll come back... as a mutant wasp creature. I still think it's hilarious that Marvel killed her off because Bendis and Quesada don't like her just before she became the breakout character in the cartoon. and people say DC is terrible about synchronizing their comics and animation. Wasn't she killed off way before the cartoon started airing?

Excited for my pull list this week. I will be getting these comics before I go to work:
Creep #0 (If my store carries it) Batman #12 Batman and Robin #12 Gambit #1 (Don't read very many Marvel titles, so I will buy this and see if I get into it, I used to love Gambit as a kid)

Wasn't she killed off way before the cartoon started airing? she was. I was merely remarking how humourous it was for Marvel to kill her off before it came out so they couldn't even capitalize on her upswing in popularity (mind, she's very different in the cartoon than the comics).

Is Nightcrawler back yet? The real one, I heard there was some alternate universe Nightcrawler running around in X-Force.

Man, Hickman really should have ended his Fantastic Four run with the conclusion of the big epic a few months ago. His last few issues have been the definition of treading water.

Yeah, he's finishing up stories so as not to leave anything hanging, but these are stories that dont really matter and no one really cared for in the first place.
Especially this week Nu crap.

Kurt's still dead. the Age of Apocalypse Kurt is part of X-Force right now, but his personality is so different from 616 Kurt (he's a kill-happy jerk whose also an atheist and the ONLY person he cares about is Mystique) that he might as well be considered a completely different character (not that that's a bad thing).

So, Fantastic Four is going to be something involving a road trip, possibly in space, and FF becomes a 90s hanger on book featuring Medusa, She Hulk, Scott Lang and a 'Lindsey Lohan-esque' character picked by Johnny to wear the Thing robot costume as Miss Thing......
Fraction's Defender's is cancelled, so his crazy goes to that book I suppose.
Anyone following Hickman was going to have a hard time making me care, but this just sounds like dross.
On the other hand, they will both be $2.99 titles, a rarity at Marvel

- Scarlet Spider continues to be my Darkhorse title of 2012, every issue has been nailed out of the park. This arc makes me feel it's only a matter of time before Big bro Pete hasta come check on Kaine.
- Spider-Men was okay for its' character moments, though to me left alot to be desired (ie. Peter finding out about Ultimatum or Reed Richards going evil). Really hoping for the action to amp up come next issue.
- My darkhorse of 2011 makes its conclusion at Issue 22, and it's a dman shame to see Venom end so early. Really hope the character sticks around in some capacity, as he's been the best incarnation of the symbiote character in decades (yeah, DECADES).
- Lastly for me, Hulk vs Wolverine/Thing is never a bad thing, plus this arc is slowly shaping up into something with Banner running Hulk through all sorts of crazy.

Venom is continuing, 22 was just Remender's last issue. Cullen Bunn is taking over as writer and they are doing a cross over with Scarlet Spider featuring Carnage

You know what's hilariously ironic (Not sure if it really is but)? This guy Who as you can see is cutting a man in half with a giant pair of scissors birthed from his imagination and once said. Debuted in More Fun Comics. Because what's more fun then a genocidal virtually omnipotent man who occasionally tries to cut people in half with giant scissors?

I care about Stephanie Brown.
For I love all the Batgirls, equally.
But I love one way more in a wheelchair.
I'm kind of kinky like that.

A lot of people prefer a Batgirl in a wheelchair, so I believe you aren't the only one. And yes, I want Babs back in the wheelchair. I loved her as Oracle and I find a character who oversees everything and provides data and info to be more interesting than another masked vigilante.

Ostrander's run with him is just one of the best things ever. Then they had him be Hal Jordan, and then black. That failed. Plus, Mark Hamill voiced him! With bonus Kevin Conroy as Phantom Stranger. If you thought the scissors were bad, check out the last video!

My pull list and thoughts:
Batman #12 - One-shot about Harper Row, the girl that saves Batman in #7. Basically, just a bridge from the Court of Owls story arc to the one starting in #13 w/ the Joker. It seems obvious that they are setting Harper up for a bigger role later on. I didn't particularly care for it personally, but it's well written.
Gambit #1 - Good, solid start for one of the most popular and interesting X-Men characters. Seems like this book will be following Gambit as he tries to "get back to his roots" and blow off some steam by getting away from all his duties at the Jean Grey School by doing some good, old-fashioned thieving. I enjoyed it and will definitely be picking up the next issue.
Wolverine #311 - The Sabretooth Rising story line is back after a one-issue hiatus. Thankfully, the price is back down to $3.99. I liked the issue. Finally learn the identity of the mysterious red-haired woman that debuted in 310. Overall, a more solid effort than the first issue in this story arc.
Venom #22 -Remender's last issue was the quality stuff that I have expected from what I've read of his Venom run. Good look into the past of Flash Thompson and a nice end to the Savage Six storyline.
Next week's pull list: Before Watchmen: Rorschach #1 Saga #6 Avengers vs. X-Men Round 10

It's always one of the last books I read(I save my favorites for last). And to think...I almost didn't read it at first. Thank god I was bored while in the comic shop and decided to flip through the first issue.

Scarlet Spider was interesting this week. I like the Rangers as a team, but I was taken-aback by the the idea he suggested of Living Lightning, a former Avenger, being inexperienced
