Two of the funniest things about the data I'm using for TEW2013
1. All Japan signing EVERYONE that can work in Japan. I don't know what it is about their roster than has them signing everyone from Sonjay Dutt to Davey Richards to the entire Dragon Gate roster basically (including Gamma who Dragon Gate actually RELEASED, yet All Japan wants him). 2. Ted DiBiase signing for every single indy because of the dearth of potential color commentators in the data.

Alrighty, finally booked Wrestlemania 29. Here's the card:
-Xavier Woods wins the pre-show battle royal, last eliminating Kofi Kingston. Kofi's been on a losing streak and I'm going to send him to NXT.
-Zack Ryder wins Money In The Bank, over Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, King Truth and Brian Kendrick. Daniel Bryan was originally going to win this but he got injured. Zack had a similar losing streak storyline to Kofi, which is why he turned heel, but turning heel actually got him pretty over so I had him win.
-Mick Foley d Raven in a Raven's Rules Match. The story behind this one was Foley got laid out with an RKO from Orton and Theodore Long was given control of Smackdown one last time (before his contract expired). Long booked Foley in a match where if he lost, he'd be fired. Seth Black (aka Rollins) was able to help Foley get the win. Afterwards, Foley publicly fired Theodore Long and booked an impromptu match.
-Seth Black/Sheamus/Drew McIntyre/Santino Marella/Derrick Bateman d The Flock (Sami Callihan/Dean Ambrose/Corey Graves/Eli Cottonwood/Silas (aka Ultramantis) Black) when Sheamus put the boot to Graves.
-Christian d Randy Orton to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Orton has gone into mega-heel mode since turning, going on to RKO Edge on a Cutting Edge segment, sending him to the hospital, RKOing Foley, getting fired only to get rehired and given the title shot by Theodore Long, and stealing the World title belt. Christian is able to keep the belt but Orton lays him out with an RKO for good measure.
-Undertaker d John Cena to keep the streak alive. In a surprise move, The Rock returned for the first time since Wrestlemania 28 to avenge his loss to Cena, costing him a chance to break the streak. I had this as a heel turn for Rock but I don't know how that'd work in real life. I'd like to bring back Batista and have him and Hollywood Rock against Cena for a while but Batista is on All Japan's roster so I'll probably have to shell out a ton of money to get him. For the record, Undertaker's contract ran out after Wrestlemania but he also announced his retirement. I may renew his contract just to do a proper sendoff, though.
-CM Punk d The Miz with Stone Cold Steve Austin as Special Guest Referee to WIN the WWE Title. The story here was that Austin didn't like either man (with his run ins with Punk and having a run-in with Miz at Mania last year when he did a sit-in because he didn't have a match on the show) so he would be impartial. Punk wins clean.
It actually turned out pretty disappointing, since I got one of those shows where the Overall Rating is lower than it should be for whatever reason, which I've been getting a lot of lately. Combined with that, all the incidents I've gotten this past month and being told that we've lost money for the past two months even though we haven't, I'm wondering if my game is somehow corrupt.

Just donate a shit ton of money (I'm talking millions of dollars) to charity this month and you should be golden.

So PWG hires Kelly Kelly and I say to myself "why in the hell would they do that" so I look up their product and see that their product is set as having a Women's division, which I know is not the case. So I go to the editor and change it to integrated since Candice LeRae always wrestles other men.
The next day Candice LeRae is fired... but is the only woman fired. Kelly Kelly is a main eventer now, oh and Stupefied and BRIAN FREAKING CAGE were fired because the women being integrated caused a bloated roster.
Whooooooo boy.

Read this as PWG signed Kevin Kelly so my first thought was 'I'm sure he's being hired for his announcing, no big deal'. Instead, what I read is that he's in the WOMEN'S DIVISION & I get very confused, very quickly. Reminds me of when I checked out some random Impact results during my game & a match I saw was: Velvet Sky beats Gail Kim, Mickie James & Hulk Hogan.

In a save game file I've been playing since 2010, I've got Heath Slater and Buck Hawke (a speedy guy I brought in because Justin Gabriel was still contracted to WWE) teaming as Full Throttle. They've been a consistently great heel team, and the go to guys whenever a heel stable needs it's numbers bulking up. They've been members of Nexus, Immortal and The Four Horsemen.
They lost the tag titles in a feud ender and Slater went and got the dreaded 16 month knee injury, so I turned Buck face and have him hang around whenever I need the match rating up. His finisher is a Tatanka style chop from the top rope, "Tomahawke". This lead to some classic comedy finishes where he would nail Slater with it by mistake

Just recently, I started a July 2006 scenario in TEW2005 as WWE. First off, here's my roster: Just yesterday, I finished the first month (July), and got past Vengeance: Vengeance was, luckily, the best show I put on in the month, as most of the Raw/SmackDown/ECW shows in July hurt the popularity somehow. I'm trying harder to put on shows, as I boost ratings with commercials featuring very over superstars.

So far, ECW is the only show I'm having trouble with keeping up popularity in the 2006 scenario.
I'm also thinking of re-doing what I did for the August 2012 scenario (with CM Punk vs. Big Show, Sting/Scott Steiner both getting hired, Evan Bourne acting like a total D...), and make up a bit more unrealistic ideas just for the hell of it. Hell, I'll probably go as far as doing a WCW-style reboot and vacating almost every title, except maybe one or both of the world titles.
...and maybe ZOMBIE BENOIT.

Has anyone ever tried the "Quit and form own promotion" option in EWR? Yes. Usually, I struggle for a while, because a lot of the "quality" guys are already signed up to the big promotions. By the time I make it global... I get to that point where I feel I have nothing left to accomplish, and stop playing the game altogether. It can be fun for a while if you're looking for a new challenge, but don't want to start a brand new game.

Can someone help me find the newest version of the game with the newer looking graphics I've seen above here? The only one I have still has the old screens and such.

Ok, so I'm a week in after Wrestlemania 29, starting to shuffle the roster around a bit to freshen things up. The only major news to report since then is yet another injury. Xavier Woods suffered a broken nose but he's only out for the remainder of the month.
But since I'm bored and I just finished the first round of my NXT Championship Tournament, I'd figured I'd talk about that. When Ryback got injured and had to vacate the NXT title, I took almost everyone on the roster (except Divas), ordered them by overness and seeded them appropriately. It's also kinda revitalized the roster for me and given me more ideas to work with.
First Round Results
Jake Carter d Matt Martlaro Alexander Rusev d Mike Dalton Rick Victor d Karl Anderson JTG d Briley Ziggler
Alex Riley d Cricket Bigglesby (aka Green Ant) Brad Maddox d Johnny Curtis Trent Barreta d Sugartime Mellow (aka Sugar Dunkerton) Leo Kruger d James Bronson
Peter Orlov d Jamin Olivencia Heath Slater d Archie Evans Percy Watson d Jiro Curt Hawkins d Abe Schwartz Jr. (aka Dasher Hatfield)
Damien Sandow d Colin Cassady Conor O'Brian d Darren Young Michael McGillicutty d DT Porter Tyler Reks d CJ Parker
Storytime: -I was actually 1 person short for a 32-man tournament so I added Matt Martlaro, who is NXT GM Matt Striker's assistant, against the #1 seed Jake Carter.
-I just formed The Ascension, only my version is Conor O'Brian and Rick Victor led by Leo Kruger. Right now, they've just been ganging up on their opponents backstage then dragging them out to the ring to pin them. We'll see if that strategy works going into the second round.
-Brad Maddox just debuted and his first match was a defeat (albeit by cheating) over Johnny Curtis, my first NXT Champion, who has been in a slump as of late.
-Mike Dalton has been involved in a romance with Kelly Kelly but has been regularly taunted and beaten down by Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins, who have gone so far as to kidnap Kelly Kelly. I'm actually using this as an attempt to get Dalton more over, only for him to eventually turn heel, dump Kelly and turn into a prima donna "male Diva" much like his current Tyler Breeze gimmick.
-Colin Cassady and James Bronson have been involved in an undercard program, with both trying to figure out who is the best brawler. Them having more matches due to the tournament has probably saved their careers as both men's contracts are soon to run out, yet both are getting great match quality ratings due to their high Brawl stats.
-In storyline terms, the favorites to win the NXT title would either be Alex Riley, Percy Watson or Michael McGillicutty. But I'd like to move them up to Smackdown or Raw so I'm thinking the NXT Champ will either be Jake Carter or Peter Orlov as both are the most over guys in NXT who I actually plan to have stay there.

Here's the WWE SummerSlam card for a semi-realistic retry on an August 2012 scenario in TEW2005.
WWE Championship CM Punk (c) vs. John Cena vs. The Big Show
Legends Championship Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock vs. Zombie Benoit (Again, semi realistic.)
Alberto Del Rio vs. Sting
World Heavyweight Championship Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus vs. The Miz
Last Man Standing Randy Orton vs. Tensai
Intercontinetal Championship - Ladder Mason Ryan vs. Ryback vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Wade Barrett vs. Mark Henry vs. Tyson Kidd
Tag Team Championship Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger vs. R-Truth and Kofi Kingston vs. Prime Time Players
Steel Cage Zack Ryder vs. Kane
United States Championship - 4-Way Dance (elimination) Drew McIntyre vs. Evan Bourne vs. Damien Sandow vs. Rey Mysterio
