I just re-watched this on youtube, and despite all the complaints about how this angle turned out, or how it branched from the big Summer angle, this was fantastic.
Cena's pissed about getting locked out of the cell, so he rushes ADR as soon as the cell opens, then, it starts to lower and the fired Miz and Truth just LAY WASTE to everything inside the cell. Cena, ADR, Punk, Referees, CAMERAMEN, while the entire roster is outside banging on the cell trying to get in.
And the commentary is fantastic from JR. Then the bolt cutters are used and Miz and Truth immediately surrender, drawing massive heat, while Booker chimes in with the classic "This is justice...but WE NEED STREET JUSTICE". And then COOHHH comes in with the flying Justice Punch on Miz, goes crazy himself, and then you know "HHH is f***ed".
It was the most Gangsta shit in WWE in a while. Truth looked legit as always, but even Miz looked crazy. I'm not one for "PG SUCKS WE NEED BLOOD", but blood is about the only thing that would have but this segment into "All time" territory.

Miz and Truth looked like absolute stars, and I remember this looking like gold at the time. I loved it. When you have the entire roster clawing at the cell, it was seriously big time. And then it got f***ed up.

Man I haven't seen this since then and had pretty much forgotten about it. This was an awesome moment and a really, really good angle. And now it's an afterthought that most people forget ever happened. What a shame.

So,why did the rest of the locker room care that Cena was getting attacked? It happens all the time.I could understand the face's but why would Cody Rhodes give a shit?

One thing i do remember was J.R. got really pissed when they took out the cameraman inside. I thought it was funny because you know how on commentary you must watch the screens at all times. Especially in a hell in a cell.

Too bad the whole thing created about half a dozen plot holes that were never explained.

Yeah, this was a great moment. My favorite part is Miz and Truth gently surrendering to be arrested after the damage was done.

That was a very effective segment. I don't think I saw it the first time round, I must have only seen recaps, because there are several things I hadn't remembered. Miz actually looked believable (I had big problems with his badass phase) and you're right, JR's commentary was just fantastic; no-one can bring the emotion like him.

This is probably one of the best moments of 2011, it shows how R-Truth and The Miz were smart after surrendering after the police officers entered the ring and how pissed off Hunter was, all this had so much momentum.

It was awesome and, as said, made Truth and Miz look like stars. Too bad it went nowhere.

It was a great segment that they sadly dropped the ball on immediately.

It's just a shame that this awesome segment was completely undone when Laurinaitis hired Miz and Truth back a week later with absolutely no consequences from the roster that had been outraged at them 8 days earlier.

I think Miz is believable here because, with Truth, he was the back to the obnoxious US Title Miz, only his character had finally snapped to the level of Truth delusion and it played to both of their strengths perfectly. He's not trying to be badass, just cocky and unhinged bordering of sociopathy.

It led to that "Lockout" bullshit, which pissed me off as a fan more than just about anything in the last 4 years. This is why people hate Triple H, great angle that just goes to feed his contrived badassery in the end. Same thing with Punk.
