Anybody want to convince me that this is a bad idea?
I've had three hously nighs of sleep in a row. I woke up early because I couldn't get started on an ungodly long physics problem set that I feel like just isn't going to happen at this point.
I've been up since 3am and I feel like all I've been doing has been staring at it.
I've had three double-size cups of coffee and, in the words of Super Troopers, I AM freaking out, man.
This has to stop. I'm physically twitching, my heart is racing, and I'm cognizant that I'm about to lose 40 points on this assignment right after bombing the exam last week so I'm even more stressed. I'm fairly certain I plucked my first ever grey hair out of my head, and I'm only 23.
This class is going to be the death of me, I swear. And if I don't get at least a C in this f***ing physics class, I get to wait another damn year andget another year behind just to take Physics II again before I can move on.
I cna't focus on anything, I can't concentrate, and the physics on the paper looks even more like Chinese than it usually does.
I'm just screwing myself over, and the self-awareness, the self-realization, really, really isn't helping me. I doubt I'm going to be able to pull off a miracle and finish these 20something huge-ass electromagnetism problems in the hour and 14 minutes I have left, but I guess... if anything, I don't know.
Nothing like opening a Friday by realizing how much you've screwed hyourself over...

I tried this once, I became the embodiment of rage for a couple weeks.
Don't worry about the grey hairs by the way, I'm 20 and I've had them since I was at least 18.

I drink tons of coffee/caffine and it doesnt seem to effect me that much. Maybe I'm just lucky.

They have this thing called decaffeinated coffee. Might want to check it out. My brother got really bad heart palpitations as a kid, the doctor told him "Lay off the caffeine!"
He now drinks Sprite, 7-Up or Caffeine-Free Pepsi.
(Don't you know for every gray hair you pluck, 10 more grow in its place? You'll look like CSI: Ted Danson by the time you're 25.)

I did this two years ago or so. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I never really noticed any problems when I did.

All I know is if I did it, I'd be such a raging asshole, I couldn't stand to be by myself.

I am trying to ween myself from it, personally, to some success. That said, part of the reason was weight loss, and I initially drank a lot of whole milk as a substitute before it dawned on me that was perhaps counterproductive. I do feel a lot healthier, though.

I'm laying of the coffee as we speak. From personal experience, if you quit cold you may get some pretty bad headaches etc. You could slowly ween off of it until you gradually stop all together.

I stopped entirely for like three or four years without much trouble. It should be noted though that I've never had a cup of coffee in my life, so pretty much all of my caffeine intake was from Pepsi. In retrospect that's probably why I found it so easy to give up.
