Okay, so TNA is what got me back into wrestling in 2009, I believe, after a 6+ year hiatus. The Knockouts and tag division is what piqued my interest, as well as the MEM. Then Hogan arrived and git rid of the six sided ring. I liked the six sided ring, so I knew it was gonna get worse. Just before "They" showed up, I started watching WWE exclusively.
To get to the point of my thread, I started watching again due to all the good comments I've been hearing recently about Roode, the BFG series and pretty much everything but Claire Lynch. I didn't keep up too well, so when I saw Sting's facepaint...just, I knew people were calling him Joker Sting, but thats just horrendous. Looks like a transvestite who put on too much lipstick and eyeliner and smeared it everywhere.
How did Sting transition to this new face paint? I just have to know the story after seeing the paint that has replaced his iconic paint.

Right before his title defense at Slammiversary last year he attacked Mr. Anderson and there happened to be a bunch of red paint in the room so he smeared it all over Anderson and himself. After that he started in with a more crazy, 'Joker' type face paint design.

As far as why/how he snapped...
Probably one of favorite things Sting has done.

Good God, Sting has seen The Dark Knight one too many times.

I don't get why he still uses it. He isn't anything like Joker anymore, and hasn't been in months.

I'd like him to go back to the more colourful crow Sting facepaint he was sporting before he adopted the Joker style.
The Joker style felt like it should have ended after the Hogan match.

to be fair, his old Facepaint was film based too: It was originally dead-on, up until around Jan '97 or so when WCW got threatened with a lawsuit and Sting switched it up.

It's still better then his orignal face paint which made him look like a face painted Pet Shop Boys back up dancer. Ultimat Warrior's gay twin says: Queering DOES make the world work!
