It's Monday night again. RAW comes to you live from Dallas and with SummerSlam less than a week away, things are getting hot up and down the card.
RAW will kick off tonight with a match between WWE Champion CM Punk and one of his two No. 1 Contenders, Big Show (A wrestling match opening RAW? What a concept!). As RAW closed last week, the Best In The World had an epiphany. He realised that he wasn't getting respect because he was allowing it to happen, so no more. But just as he was about to assert his authority, Big Show beat him to the punch... literally, before doing the same to the other No. 1 Contender, John Cena. What will happen when champion and challenger collide mere days away from a title match at the summer classic? And how will Cena figure into the equation?
Last week in San Antonio, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels declared his intention to be in Triple H's corner when he takes on Brock Lesnar on Sunday, and will make the trip to RAW tonight to make further statements on the upcoming bout. Lesnar stated that he and The Heartbreak Kid will cross paths again, so will that happen tonight?
Big developments in the somewhat lackluster feud between World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio. After Sheamus took Del Rio's Ferrari for a joyride and returned it in less than stellar condition last Monday, Del Rio rounded up some "police" to help deliver a brutal assault on The Great White. As a result, Del Rio was stripped of his No. 1 Contender status by SmackDown General Manager Booker T and there is currently no World Heavyweight Championship match booked for SummerSlam. Will the wheels be set in motion for a new challenger to step up tonight? Or will Del Rio pull out all the stops to get his (next) title shot back?
For the first time in quite a long time, there are several feuds going up and down the midcard, and most of them will likely be progressed tonight. Chris Jericho is going back to his Y2J days to take on SmackDown Money In The Bank holder Dolph Ziggler... Daniel Bryan and Kane are engaged in a battle of two of WWE's most explosive tempers, with RAW General Manager AJ Lee egging things on... The Miz could be seeing a lot more of Rey Mysterio as his challenger for the Intercontinental Championship... Even Damien Sandow is picking a fight, turning his ire on Brodus Clay in his crusade of enlightenment.
While they won No. 1 Contender status for the Tag Team Championship on SmackDown, The Prime Time Players lost their agent AW, as he got his cuts from WWE. Can the duo get back on track to making MILLIONS OF DOLLARS and focus on Kofi Kingston and R-Truth?
Divas... Well... Kelly is back. Maybe she'll win the belt off the girl that has it.
All that, and some guy from some show will tweet and tout like you're supposed to care or something, tonight on RAW! Remember, it's 3 hours, not 2, so it starts an hour earlier! Some people here still need reminding, apparently...
