I'd love a final run for Austin, starting maybe at SummerSlam next year, leading up to taking the WWE title and defending against Punk in the Main Event at WM30 (where's that great WM30 fan poster with CM Punk's hands used for two of the X's?).

Loved Austin back in the day, but have no desire to see him in a high level match anymore. I could go for a match, but not a run. And not a year long build like the Rock's match. Just have someone call him out at the Rumble or the night after, have Austin start appearing after Elimination Chamber, have the match at Mania. The end. No muss, no fuss.

I want him to show up in the Impact Zone as Chilly McFreeze and challenge Hogan. New boom period.

I don't see this as even teased in the headlines of the pwinsdier elite section, can anyone confirm that they actually said this? Or did wrestlezone just make it up again? The Bleacherreport attributes this to "Pro Wrestling Insider". So if the junk sites can't even agree on who reported this, I'm skeptical. PWInsider Elite and Pro Wrestling Insider are the same site, Elite is the paid version where a lot of the big stories are first posted. With that said, IT IS NOT ON PWInsider. I just went through the elite/paid stories posted before this thread was started and Austin was not mentioned once in any of them. I just went onto PWInsider.com and looked down the Elite section headlines. I saw this in about 5 seconds "WHERE THE TRIPLE H RETIREMENT TEASE IS GOING, WHY ORTON DIDN'T WORK SUMMERSLAM, THE LATEST ON STEVE AUSTIN'S RETURN TO THE RING AND MUCH, MUCH MORE" (Posted 20th August for the record). Just to add also. I've noticed that both Austin & JR have been on Twitter to shoot down this story with some aggression. So by that virtue I think we can confirm this one as true

Punk vs Austin, WM30, and Punk puts his career on the line since he'll be close to retiring by then anyway.

I just went onto PWInsider.com and looked down the Elite section headlines. Punk vs Austin, WM30, and Punk puts his career on the line since he'll be close to retiring by then anyway. Which one? I listened to both today and never heard it. EDIT: Alright, just listened to the one I missed and like most NEWZ they took the actual story and twisted it. It was said that the belief is Austin will wrestle at least once more in the future but it will not be at Mania 29 because of his prior commitments. It was then said that based on all Austin has said about if he wrestles again it would be have to be the main event of Wrestlemania, which would mean Wrestlemania 30. it was never said that it was set in stone or they had plans, just the feeling is he will wrestle again and that going by his own statements it wouldn't happen until 30.

I can see it being true as for as physical state. Mental I don't know. The guy did come off knee surgery. Which nobody really touched on what he had done. Plus WM 30 makes sense if the rumors are true that it's going to be in Dallas. So if Austin does wrestle one more match. What better place then his home state of Texas? I can see everything else be in good shape. But is knee had a problem that he took care off it.
Who will he face I don't know. I like to see Punk but not as much now that he not doing the straight edge thing anymore.

I will believe this when I see it. But after Rock and Brock coming back, I am more willing to believe than I have been in a while.
