Not sure, if anyone else has seen this, but it's pretty interesting.
Part 1:
Part 2:
Much different, as you can see. I'm thankful it didn't actually go like this, personally.

Around the same time Lost Galaxy or Lightspeed Rescue was airing.

Was that Jessie Spano fighting them in the bowling alley?
And yeah... that was interesting. The acting in the original wasn't great, but at least it wasn't that.

Holy shit was that morphing sequence bad or what?
I mean, some of the effects in the original series were still terrible (Billy's car arriving at the Command Center for example), but that was something else.

I laughed @ LIVE FROM THE MOON.
Yea power rangers has always been cheesy and angel grove being the worst place to live , but the changes into the show everyone knows are much more appreciated.

I think it's weird how much more confrontational the bullies were here than they were in the actual show. It looked like they were trying to cause trouble. Not saying it justifies the Rangers beating the living daylights out of them (You see that spinning roundhouse Jason gave that one thug? Damn!), but still.

I can't believe they were listening to Mother's Milk at the beginning there.
I also can't believe how cheaply this show was...even moreso in this pilot. I wish Billy would have stuck with the thick rimmed glasses.

The only thing I remember about this show is the wickedly cool Green Ranger theme song, and how much more badass he was than the entire rest of the cast.
Two decades later not a damn thing's changed:

The morphing sequence is the same as Zyuranger (the super sentai that the first season was based on)

I laughed at the random shot of unmorphed Jason with the Red Ranger helmet on his head for some reason.

If you even look closely.....you can see that all they did was have them stand in front of a green screen and have the japanese footage play in the background for the morphing sequence.
