No way I could possibly tell.
The Simpsons started one month after I was born, so it's just always been there as far as I'm concerned.

Christmas Special.
I also used to have a Picture Book of it too.

Since the simpsons is clearly the majority of the board members favourite show ..... That's honestly very debatable, considering the number of people who complain about the dip in quality over the years. Anyway, either most of the people who've already posted are either at least in their late 20s, or they decided to start from the beginning. But I'm pleasantly surprised that most of you are listing episodes from the first season. I figured some people would say some episode from no earlier than season 10. As for me, I saw the Ulman shorts, followed by the Christmas premiere.

Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire The very first full episode. Yep, the Christmas opener and Bart the Genius was the first regular episode I watched.

Either Bart the General or that Marvin Monroe episode. I had this tape with both those episodes on it. It wasn't until we got Sky in '97 until i started watching The Simpsons regularly. (not sure if they were on the BBC at that time)

(not sure if they were on the BBC at that time) I don't think they were on the BBC at the time. How would I know being in Australia? Well in 92 my Aunt from England came to visit. Now while she was here she requested we record The Simpsons for her kids because in the UK, they were on Sky TV at the time. Might be wrong though.

The first I specifically remember watching is Kamp Krusy, but that's because I blew off my schoolwork to watch it that night and got in trouble. It was already a show I'd been seeing regularly by that point.

Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire The very first full episode. Same here, I remember thinking how different it was. It's neat to be able to say you saw the first airing of the first episode, but it's not really worth anything. Who would have thought that it would still be going 20 some years later?

I did see the christmas special in it's original airing. But the first official episode I saw was Bart The Genius. Then I think it was Radioactive man that made me a regular viewer
One of my friends had a beta Max tape of the Ulman shorts that his dad recorded for him. But I never actually seen them as part of the show.

The very first one. I remember when they were a part of the Tracy Ullman Show. I can quote many others just like it, but I was a loyal Tracey Ullman Show watcher and decided to give this crudely created cartoon a chance.

(not sure if they were on the BBC at that time) God, I completely forgot The Simpsons used to be on BBC 2. That was nice, 6pm Simpsons then Fresh Prince and no ads at all.

Sadly I can't remember, which is a real shame. First I remember was from watching on a tape, "The Joy of Sect" but clearly that's not the first I ever saw because it was on a tape, so I must've liked the show enough previously to have them taped at all.
Bothers me though, I can remember the first South Park episode I saw - it was "Cripple Fight" which was quite a start.

Was probably the very first episode, but the one I vividly remember watching as a 6 year old, was homer badman. We had Piccadilly that night!
