Watching the Dan Patrick Show right now. I'll Have Another injured his leg and will not be running in the Belmont. So we will NOT have a triple crown winner this year. He has a minor infection in his leg.

 I love horse racing, but it just can't catch a break. Either the Triple Crown winner gets clipped in the final stretch, or the dominant Big Brown gags hard, and now this. My interest in the race just went below zero.

And down go the ratings. Seriously, I wonder if there is not a problem with I'll Have Another. I heard something about a breathing strip he had used in the Derby and the Preakness was banned for the Belmont. Plus the near collision a week ago.

And Today I realized after about 6 months of watching the Dan Patrick Show on MSG, that it airs on about an hour delay on that channel. As I'm watching it now they still havent talked to the trainer.
But yeah that sucks for the horse and the people at Belmont.

It's the non-scripted equivalent of pro wrestling; whenever you think it's going to get really interesting, the perennial letdown machine rears its ugly head yet again. |

I knew it, I freaking knew it! Every time a horse gets a shot at the crown, he gets hurt. If a horse is going to win the triple crown again, he needs to do it by a landslide.
