This is always one of my favourite simpson episode endings. Just Homer staring at the stars after having to say goodbye to his mother again with that emotional music playing gets me every time

I feel bad for Homer. His mother comes off to me as a selfish bitch, too ate up with her dumbass causes to realize everything she's thrown away.

It's beautiful. The days when the show still had a heart to it.

Of course "Seymour waits forever" is in the recommended videos.

Of course "Seymour waits forever" is in the recommended videos. The ending to the Mother Simpson episode is a tearjerker, but THAT one....wow. The climax to Jurassic Bark was heart-shattering, and then that ending was just an added kick to the balls.

The episode was on earlier today, over here. And yes, it is sad how she left him again, but at least this time, Homer was there to say goodbye to her.

Apparently the Simpsons producers had to fight with Fox to get them to show the ending like this. Originally Fox wanted to do the "shrink the credits down to 1/4 size of the screen and play an ad for another show" deal but the Simpsons producers argued against it and said the ending shouldn't be interrupted or cut short. I'm glad they won.

Jurassic Bark and THAT episode of Fresh Prince come up right after the video. Holy shit that has to be 3 of the saddest moments in TV history.

Only certain things get me.
Every time, I bawl my eyes out.
EDIT:Oh, thank God, they didn't let me click on that Fresh Prince episode.
I rarely cry. That was another one. I still tear up every time I see it.

I love this one and the ending of Futurama's Luck of the Fryrish. Both are really sweet.

Yeah, maybe it's the similar distance issues I had with my own father in addition to my mother dying that made this ending really resonate with me these last couple years.

It's funny how the start of the episode was something as ridiculous as homer faking his death just to get a day off work, and end on something so emotional

I love this one and the ending of Futurama's Luck of the Fryrish. Both are really sweet. My two favourite endings to any show I've seen, honestly.

Leela's Homeworld is another great ending. Also And Maggie Makes Three. I agree with both. Also, Lisa on Ice ends on a heartwarmingly positive note too.
