My main problem with the ending, if I had to put it in a single sentence and didn't include the silly continuity mistakes, was that it felt like I stumbled into the ending of another game.
You don't have to play online to get the best ending, do you? I got all 3 options when I played, and I didn't even have to try. If I didn't read about it online, I wouldn't have known that synthesis wasn't an option.
Or are you referring to the Shephard lives extra few seconds ending?

You can get it in single player it's just really, really tedious. Multiplayer's fun, but you shouldn't be forced to play it to bypass a whole lot of tedium.
Really, just disabling the "lose a small percentage of your EMS/TMS daily" thing would curtail that a lot. ME3's gameplay is otherwise fantastic, but that was a terrible, terrible idea and a silly way to get people to play MP. Especially since MP is pretty fun, and that should be enough incentive to keep people playing it.

I wish, they had done the ending like in Fallout. You cured the genophage play a video about how the Krogans prosper. You didn't cure it, see how the Krogans are fading out of history. But the way it is now it seems like nothing you have done in the past realy matters.
Also, I had the feeling that my team that stormed the teleporter died during that time. But instead I see them jumping happily around on that new planet. How did they escape in that short time from the main battlefield? And why did Joker flee from the battle?
These are my main problems with the ending.

The whole forced multiplayer aspect is really unforgiveable. And I liked multiplayer. When I replay this game 6 months, a year, 2 years down the line (which I will no doubt) as it stands I'll still have to do the mltiplayer to bring up my EMS. And that is pretty damn shitty to be honest!

Once multiplayer dies down (or when EA shuts down the servers) you will be able to BUY the points to raise EMS!

It's funny, I was really annoyed at the idea of having to do multiplayer if it affected the main game at first. I felt like I'd be missing out. But I love the multiplayer so much that (so long as it stays up and running), I've got no problem with keeping it u[. If they'd have gone the deathmatch route, it would have been horrible, but the cooperative aspect is great, and if you've got a good team, it can be incredibly fun. Helps that we can still access the levels through the N7 missions.

I still would've liked to see a more involved multiplayer mode with friends actually playing the single player stuff with you, as a nice little throwback to the older Bioware Games like the Baldur's Gate series and Neverwinter Nights. But what we got was a really fun compromise.
One thing I found interesting was how they've been trying to get multiplayer into the series since they started planning ME1 (well before EA was even in the picture). Would've been interesting to see how their ideas would've panned out as I think the original concept was simply not possible with the way Xbox Live is now.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's what we DO get. at least according to Jennifer Hale (FemShep) they haven't told the voice actors anything about coming back to record more dialgue.

And that statement itself was made the day before BioWare announced the Extended Ending DLC. Still, it's the same ending, they're just adding clarification. I am taking the wait-and-see approach on how they handle the DLC itself, because they've handled the backlash HORRIBLY.

{Spoiler}I'm really curious how future DLC is gonna work. Gonna be weird if I have to revert to old saved files just to play new content, yet I'm not really interested in continuing post-ending without my Shepard. I can see playing as an Alliance soldier to just interact with the remaining characters and get some follow up, but doing actual missions without Shepard just won't feel right.

Yeah the new DLC looks awesome. Playing as the Vorcha alone is badass enough, but new melee abilities like Biotic whips for the Ex-Cerberus Adept(I'm assuming) and Omni-claws for the Vorcha(which make them totally look like Wolverine), plus Kal'Reegar getting a shotgun named after him?! f***ing awesome!

I love the sounds of the new MP pack. Vorcha Sentinel is kind of... odd, since they're quite stupid, but I guess that's gameplay mechanic necessity trumping lore. A feeling I'm all too familiar with as a World of Warcraft player, so it doesn't bug me. Loving the Male Quarian and Ex-Cerberus units, though. Does this mean eventual Female Salarian and Turian?!?! {Spoiler}probably not More in-depth explanations from the Bioware Blog:
