I mean he went from main eventing to not being able to even make it onto Impact these days. And I honestly feel it would only take him a few weeks to get back to that level with the fans by having him come out and declare himself re-dedicated, let him talk (what he does best) and let him win matches, but TNA doesn't even want to try. They don't even want to put him on TV. The storyline with Devon has gone on for months with almost no progress but either way he shouldn't be bothering with Devon at all.

Hell, just look at how they wasted him. Put him in a feud with Abyss which he lost utterly, turned heel, was put in a feud with Joe that he lost utterly and is now the Primo of TNA. He's only had one clean singles win on TV in a year. I honestly can't see why they're wasting him with his next TV appearance losing to Fauxberg.

I still contend that, if pushed correctly, the Pope Character could be the next Rock. Shame on TNA "Creative" for wasting such an uber charismatic and talented performer.

It's a shame that Lacey Von Erich and David Otunga are former champions, but Pope hasn't won gold in WWE or TNA.

Hulk Hogan doesn't care about black people. Oddly is it just me, or since they both arrived, Lashley and Lethal got let go, with only Pope, and he getys de-pushed, while WWE continue to give title reign to their African American wrestlers. Conspiracy?

TNA killed him off, I'm not sure if it was on purpose or because they're incompetent, though I feel it's the latter. He's not on Impact because they don't have much of a use for him, as well, they killed him off.
I haven't watched Impact, is Mr. Anderson still on? They killed him off too, but he won on pay per view. Samoa Joe I read was in a title contenders match, but they pretty much killed him off and are using him to put other people over.
They turned those three so much, that they're pretty useless. Like, guys have been turned a lot in the past, but not this much in a short amount of time. I guess though it is a neat experiment on what happens when you turn guys so much. The only guy in WWE that turns a lot is Primo, and there's a reason he's used as a jobber. Eric Young was pretty done for awhile, but thankfully they've kept him with this comedy character.

It's a shame that Lacey Von Erich and David Otunga are former champions, but Pope hasn't won gold in WWE or TNA. For all the flack that TNA gets and that I've given them, one thing I did appreciate about them was they took people from WWE who were going nowhere and allowed them to grow into superstars (Pope and Morgan, for example). Then the two stooges from WCW come along and Pope, along with so many others, take a backseat to Those From the Past and recycled storylines from the '90's. TNA: The Future Rolling Past of Wrestling.

I don't think I've given a damn about him since they decided it'd be cutting edge to have him be a dogfighter. Wasn't funny, cool, topical, or anything that got them any ratings. It just wasted showtime and made the product look like shit.

Do you take exception to when people say a character was killed off on a TV show? Because that's what they're talking about. You do notice people in this thread are discussing D'Angelo Dinero not Elijah Burke?

Hey, you know who got killed off? BRUISER BRODY! Different phrase, please..... Well, TNA isn't making a killing off of burying talent, that's for sure. Luckily Eric Bischoff was taken hostage by one crow, instead of a whole murder of them. Suicide isn't even on tv anymore. Neither is Homicide. And currently, Pope's angle with Devon is dead in the water. Let's also not forget about the expression "kill a town", which happens when a show does such bad business in a particular town, that they no longer draw money there. Kill a territory is another one. A hot crowd can be killed by a bad match. And yes, it's a tv show comparison dealy of course, in that they've been taken to the point where they don't really attract much of a reaction. In my opinion, Pope and Samoa Joe even, shouldn't even be on tv because of how badly their characters have been damaged, it's almost like in the old days where guys did jobs on the way out, and off they went.

I really hope you're not gonna start quibbling over minor things again. Because honestly, this kinda stuff makes me think you don't like TNA as much as you like arguing with people.

I'm not a regular viewer (I catch a show every few weeks, and read the results), but I geninuely thought he had left. Like, months ago.
