personally, I bought the PPV for Roode alone...if he doesn't win (clean or at least convincingly), I'll indeed quit watching TNA (I promise lol)
talented homegrown deserving talent >>> Hogan, Angle and other washed up former WWE legends getting all the shine
anyone feeling the same?

I think WM19 is probably a better analogy, with Roode being Booker T, and Angle being Triple H.

I just spoke to Vince Russo on the phone and he told me that Robert Roode will win the TNA World Championship at BFG cleanly.

Angle is washed up and doesn't get anything from having the title, if Roode loses I will still follow the company, but I'll probably not stay awake that long to catch Impact, I'll just read spoilers until I read about storylines that might please me.

While I think Angle has still got a lot to offer, I do also think that at this stage, the best reason to give him the belt is to have him lose it to someone else as part of a huge push. While I won't abandon TNA if Roode doesn't win (and win CLEANLY), I WILL feel somewhat cheated.

I love Angle, and have zero problem with him being the champion. That said, Roode should win this match. The build has been awesome, the video packages have been fantastic, the matches leading up to it have been great, and now its time to cap it off with the feel good title win for a guy who deserves it. He doesnt have to hold the belt for six months, but if he doesnt win the title tomorrow, I'll be pretty bummed.

I said I'd quit if he didn't win and I mean it. This is the absolute last bridge I have to TNA. If they burn it, it's over.

Yeah, it's all happened too often: AJ was supposed to become the standard bearer, then he wasn't. Samoa Joe was supposed to be, then he wasn't. Even Pope and Anderson got good, strong pushes early in their runs, then they were jerked around until they didn't really matter anymore.
Get the gold on Roode, run with him, reestablish those other guys so they become a stronger part of the permanent main event/upper card picture. So not only does Roode need to win, he needs to win and then get solid booking after his win.
If they don't do it, it's hard to imagine giving them another chance.

I'll be very disappointed if it doesn't happen because of Hulk's comments. Maybe not enough so I'll stop watching, but I'll be very hurt by it, as a viewer.

I've given up on the company for a while now, a Roode title reign might be able to rekindle my interest

The problem with Angle is that he has done it all in TNA, watching him is like listening to a broken record. I absolutely loved him until about 1,5-2 years ago (whenever his wrestling matches became formulaic) and Angle is not one of those guys who can reinvent himself. I agree on the part with Roode though, he can help him big time if he puts him over but once that's done, there is not much point in him beeing a permanent character unless he puts wrestlers over for the rest of his career. I think it would have been much better if he stayed face and appeared like Taker or Sting every 6+ months for 1-2 storylines and becomes a special attraction this way.

I'm a pro wrestling fan. I'm not gonna stop watching if Roode doesn't win. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't win. Nothing this company does surprises me anymore. But it's still more amusing than the majority of crap on TV.

I barely watch it now as it is, but Roode losing certainly wouldn't do anything to drive me back towards watching it more often.

Joe was one.
Pope was two.
Roode would be three strikes and I'm out.

If Roode doesn't win the title cleanly it would be a dumb move by IW. They spent the last 4 some odd months on this BFG series and to just have him not win the belt after all of that time and effort would be stupid. Not that IW hasn't done stupid things in the past.
But if Roode doesn't win I won't stop watching

I'm way ahead of you guys, I quit back in May. However, I'm breaking my own rule and watching BFG tonight because of Robert Roode. If he wins the title cleanly, I may even consider coming back, if not I will know for sure I made the right choice.

If Roode doesn't win, he'll join guys like Matt Morgan, Desmond Wolfe, and the Pope on the list of guys the fan wanted to win the big one but never did and freefall down the card. Or worst, he could win and be booked like Samoa Joe after he won the TNA world title; an afterthought who spazzed out all the time before being tossed into storylines that would make Kane shake his head.

Look at all this talent they dropped the ball with. They really all should leave and form their own company. The most talented young talent in TNA are getting screwed by former WWE talent. All Hogan wants to see in the main event is him, Hardy, RVD, Angle and Anderson. That is the sad truth. The other guys will never breach that barrier of perception with him.

So which of you 21 people will be sticking to your word? Right here. For as much as I defended the Sting/Hogan ending I made a promise to not watch TNA again if Roode lost.
