Probably the weirdest was that I once heard a preacher at church compare wrestling jobbers (actually said "the guy who always loses") to wayward Christians. I'm a jobber for life. Sweet, you're like Barry Horowitz!

Sweet, you're like Barry Horowitz! If this forum had a hall of fame, this post would be in it.

My sixth-grade science book had a picture of Andre the Giant in a chapter about the pituitary gland. A picture of Pam Anderson and Diesel (from WM XI) appeared in a psychology textbook when I took the class in 12th grade. I took Media Law in college and that textbook had a short section on the legal battles between WWE and WCW. In particular, Mark Madden using WCW's hotline to report on WWE's financial difficulties. When he was subpoenaed to testify about his sources, Madden claimed he was a journalist entitled to First Amendment protection. The initial court agreed, but the decision was overturned on appeal. The second court ruled Madden was not a journalist, but an entertainer. Man, that's stretching the hell out of the definition of entertainer... I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess no one has ever truly been entertained by Mark Madden.

I forget the anime or how it ended up, but there's a gif of a girl giving the Ocean Cyclone Suplex to a boy.
Also, in my driver's ed class, the instruction video had Hulk Hogan appear. Half the class knew who he was and started singing "Real American" while the other half were confused.

In my driver's ed class in 2002, we watched a video that just randomly mentioned it doesn't matter how big you are, Andre the Giant needed a seatbelt or he would have also died in Princess Diana's car crash. It was a complicated metaphor. I watched that one, too! Freshman year of high school, so either 2007 or 2008.
