I just saw a picture of Dr. Death in my Psychology book. For those interested, it was a picture of someone (I think it looks like Rocky Johnson) using a chinlock on Dr. Death with a picture next to it of a child applying a chokehold on another child. It was in the section about learning, and was saying that kids emulate what they see on TV.
Just thought it was interesting. Never expected to mark out during homework. Anybody else seen any oddities like this?

In high school we had to do a project for science class about the 'Fight or Flight' response.
Our example was Hogan slamming Andre at WM III.
The teacher was pissed off but the class enjoyed it so she was forced to give us a good grade.

I've mentioned this several time here before, but the day after the fake Sting first appeared and attacked Lex Luger we had a bonus question on our Algebra test "Who joined the NWO last night?"

Probably the weirdest was that I once heard a preacher at church compare wrestling jobbers (actually said "the guy who always loses") to wayward Christians.

On my first day of fourth grade science class in 1999, my teacher was going over the usual first day type of stuff, and then out of nowhere asked if anyone knew who won the WWF Title match the night before at SummerSlam. I had to do a double take before answering, but I feel like I gained brownie points for being the only one in class who knew it was Mankind.

Ha that's awesome. Around that same time period, my Social Studies teacher was a big WCW fan. She would do the 4 horseman hand sign a lot. She once went no a huge spiel about how she hated WWF though because it was too raunchy while WCW was family friendly. I ended up having her again a few years later after the buyout and she was no longer a wrestling fan lol.

My dissertation on Camp in the works of Angela Carter featured a lot of wrestling references, in relation to an essay she wrote about Brit Wres.

My sixth-grade science book had a picture of Andre the Giant in a chapter about the pituitary gland.
A picture of Pam Anderson and Diesel (from WM XI) appeared in a psychology textbook when I took the class in 12th grade.
I took Media Law in college and that textbook had a short section on the legal battles between WWE and WCW. In particular, Mark Madden using WCW's hotline to report on WWE's financial difficulties. When he was subpoenaed to testify about his sources, Madden claimed he was a journalist entitled to First Amendment protection. The initial court agreed, but the decision was overturned on appeal. The second court ruled Madden was not a journalist, but an entertainer.

My ethics teacher talked about reasonableness and gave an example of two celebrities having different degrees of moderation in eating. He said that people could obviously expect a person like Big Show to eat more at a buffet than Britney Spears. It may have not surprised people for him to use Britney as an example but it was that he considered the Big Show a notable celebrity.

I'm majoring Business Management and there have been several times that I wanted to discuss some of the poor decisions that WCW made in class but I know that nobody would have any idea what I was talking about. Maybe I'll write a paper about it if the time comes.

Today my friend who hates wrestling just randomly whispered into my ear "MAY 19th". He then refused ever saying it leading me to think Kane possessed him somehow.

In my driver's ed class in 2002, we watched a video that just randomly mentioned it doesn't matter how big you are, Andre the Giant needed a seatbelt or he would have also died in Princess Diana's car crash.
It was a complicated metaphor.
