Bryan Danielson seems to be channeling modern-day Eric Young by way of Bob Backlund by way of Jim Duggan, at one of my childhood favorite places (the now bulldozed) Memphis Libertyland. Despite looking like something from the 80's it is from around 2000.

Little Girl: "You know Flash Flannigan?" DBD: "Yeah" Girl: "That's mah cousin" DBD: "That's amazing..." *Walks away*
Oddly enough, I am also aware of Flash Flannigan...he's not doing a whole lot since his early TNA run, mostly working indy shows in Indiana and Ohio.

Yeah, but he's still her cousin.

I remember Jericho listed Flash Flannigan as one of the many people he beat when he gave a promo on Raw.

Wasn't he signed to a WWE developmental deal at some point? I know I remember seeing his name in OVW results.

When I think of old OVW results, I think of Flash Flanagan and Trailer Park Trash.

Which if you've ever seen Flash...it's funny to think he'd ever be brought up to the main roster.

Yeah, Flash Flanagan was in the USWA in its dying days, and then has pretty much popped up every crappy incarnation of Memphis wrestling since then, so I have a feeling that he is friends with Jerry Lawler, which is probably how he got a developmental deal. Also, I found this picture of him looking like a very poor man's version of Shane Douglas.

Oh man, this is awesome. Libertyland was such a ghetto amusement park, it was great. I wonder if AmDrag ever rode the Zippin' Pippin. Also, I used to watch UPN 30 all the time when I was a kid. (It's CW 30 now.) Thanks for the nostalgia trip, turkeysandwich.

Ah, Libertyland. Riding the Zippin' Pippin' and The Revolution. Good times.

He was a hell of a worker though. I think he still does tours of Puerto Rico as well doing his Kobain gimmick from the Dark Church.

Pretty sure Flash was in the WWF Lightheavyweight title tournament with the likes of Brian Christopher, Aguila, and Scott Taylor.

Thanks for the nostalgia trip, turkeysandwich. Most excellent sentence I've seen on the interweb in weeks.

Hey, I'm cool with that. I think it's funny that almost every post has been about Flash Flanagan, who doesn't even appear in the video.
