Why was he never asked backed to the WWE? He wasn't the greatest in ring competitor but shouldn't he be given a chance as a road agent or maybe commentary. I don't remember him burning a bridge so bad that he would never be welcomed back.

But Hogan has been back to WWE on a number of occasions. Plus, why isn't Ed Leslie employed by TNA? I mean, Hulk brought in the Nasty Boys; he could have done something with Leslie!

I remember reading something from Hogan that even he's tired of Brutus Beefcake.

I remember reading something from Hogan that even he's tired of Brutus Beefcake. This. They are still friends but from what I have heard from people who have worked shows with Leslie he will constantly talk about his friendship with Hogan, even suggesting he could get Hulk in for a seminar for the right price

I remember a WWE.com video from the 15th anniversary of Raw show in 2007, which showed Ed backstage tagging along with Hogan.
And yet he wasn't used on a nostalgia show..... ouch.

Could it be because he sucked?

Could it be because he sucked? Beefcake didn't suck pre-injury. He was a pretty good heel during his Dream Team run and when he first became the Barber.

Could it be because he sucked? Never stopped them bringing back others like Viscera

Could it be because he sucked? He was "over" as the Barber.

It's sad that Ed Leslie basically ended up being the Joe Piscopo to Hogan's Eddie Murphy.

If Hogan's tired of him then he will struggle to get a break.
As for a one-off in-ring appearance, the guy's out of shape as you might expect from someone who stopped wrestling 15 years ago.

WWE magizine did an article about him a while back, I guess he has nothing to offer anymore, or maybe he simply doesn't want to go back, from what I read he owns and operates his own gym, I guess that occupies his time

I remember reading something from Hogan that even he's tired of Brutus Beefcake. Back in June I went to a TNA "Basebrawl" show at the ballpark here and got a VIP Meet and Greet with Hogan and Brother Bruti just randomly showed up. All of us are in line and some guy is like "hey look over there is that Brutus Beefcake?" and sure enough he was just staring out the window. Later in the night when they had the "backstage" autograph signing which was just a big open parking lot enclosed behind the outfield Hogan with Brutus in tow pull up on a golf cart. Shook the man's hand and thanked him for everything and that was about it.

Whilst researching Memphis to prepare to watch Memphis Heat, was surprised to see the Hogan/Leslie partnership go all the way back to the late 70s. Leslie looked so different, Hogan was sort of Hogan-ish, but talked so differently.

I still wish they brought him in for the Battle of the Billionaires to cut Vince's hair. I mean just as a one time appearance it would have been a nice little nostalgia pop, especially since they were celebrating the 20th anniversary of Wrestlemania III when Brutus essentially became the barber.

He can't travel easily, as he sets off the metal detectors in airport security.
And he definitely won't go by boat.
He's also banned from public transport, because of a bag of chalkdust he was carrying.
So he's mainly stuck in a rental with Knobbs, Greg Valentine, Jimmy Hart, and Tugboat, which is uncomfortable.

I remember my first AWA program from a show at the Coliseum circa 1980-81 and it had a picture of "Dizzy" Ed Boulder. They blurred the picture a bit I guess to make him look dizzy and more menacing. I never heard of him before. Hulk also made the program and that night was in a tag match with Jim Brunzell against the Black and Blue Express Patera and Duncum.
I never saw Brutus wrestle or be interviewed so I don't know how long he lasted. But that image of that picture lasted in my head for years. I also never made the connection that he was Brutus Beefcake.
