Of course M-1 does. Henderson has no size on Fedor. Still don't want a piece of "steroid cattle" Overeem though, do they? I'm probably in the minority on this, but I think Fedor could probably beat Overeem. I know he's on the downside of what was an awesome career at this point, but I don't think he lost his last two in such a way that makes him look like a has been. He made a mistake and got caught by Fabricio Werdum, and a decent case has been made for the idea that his last fight against Acromegaly Silva shouldn't have been stopped. Now, I'm not saying that Fedor would breeze through Alistair, but I do think he stands a good chance of winning the fight if it happens within the next 365-or-so days. It seems that I'm alone in this boat, but I seriously have just never been outright impressed by Overeem in any of his fights that I've seen. Hopefully, we'll get to see this fight sooner than later. Although, Fedor has to face Hendo, and Overeem has to finish out this tournament first... so I guess we shall see what happens. I'm marking at the thought of Fedor/Hendo, by the way. I've never paid for a StrikeForce show before, but this may be the one that breaks the trend in my case. There is nothing that suggests to me that Fedor could beat Overeem. Fedors standup is mediocre at best. His hooks are thrown with huge looping patterns that could be scouted easily by the best kickboxer IN THE WORLD. Fedor doesnt have the quickness anymore, plus he wont nearly have the strength to take down Overeem in the clinch, which is somewhere he really doesnt want to be. I see Overeem crushing him on the feet. KO Round 1. I wouldve said the same thing before he fougth Werdum or Silva. People really need to stop sleeping on Overeem. He is entering his prime now, and will win the Strikeforce GP.

He's untouchable and won't lose an MMA fight for a long long time.

Doing loads of steroids probably doesn't hurt, either.

Or he'll lose to Werdum, and horses will laugh at him.

He is off anything that he might or might not have taken now that he is fighting in the US. I hate to say it but the man is going to be facing these charges for the rest of his career. The fact that he spent so long in Japan, while at the same time growing like crazy ,is going to dog him and his legacy.

I'm sure people will stop sleeping on him when he stops his can opening tour and actually beats someone who matters. Or he'll lose to Werdum, and horses will laugh at him. This. People want to talk about Fedor fighting cans with no merit all the time, while simultaneously praising Overeem... I don't get it. Beating Todd Duffee and losing to Lil' Nog doesn't sound all that impressive to me. Sure, that's generalizing, but after looking at his full MMA record, it pretty much sums things up. If he wins the tournament, let the guy come to the UFC and fight some current top talent. I don't mean a rematch with Cro Cop or Mark Hunt in UFC... I mean, facing the new crop. Junior Dos Santos, Cain Velazquez, Shane Carwin, or maybe even Jon Jones if his current trend continues. Based on his record against big names, I just don't see Overeem winning in that situation. Also, the "prove it" comment with regard to his obvious steroid use sounds hilariously Barry Bonds-ish.

Also...
Asics Johnson now has 3,500 posts at The 'Crap Forums... and it only took me seven years (my post count was carried over from the original forum with EZBoards when we made the move to this one in 2005) to get here. Wooooooo!!![/i]

When he was younger, he used to cut down about 20-30 lbs to make 205. Which is why he had such bad cardio, as evidenced in fights like the one against Chuck Liddell back in 2003. Now he weighs approximately 255-265. Are you telling me its totally unreasonable for a guy to have gained 30 lbs of mass over 7 years? Because he has progressively gotten bigger since then. He was a decent size HW around 2006/2007, and he has gotten bigger since. And RINGS was like ten years ago. He isnt on steroids, until he tests positive.

Personally I don't care about the whole roids thing. Honestly in a profession like MMA where you go through that much abuse on your way to a fight, it makes logical sense to use something that will keep you as healthy as possible. Plus these people are fighting to amuse us, may as well be the best they can be. But Overeem shows some signs of steroid use. Enlarged head, and massive overall growth. So, he is most likely on Something. And now, the most awkward weigh in photo ever.

He passed a drug test inNorth America done independently in May of last year. That to me speaks more than "Internet fans play amateur doctor" This thread needs more Mark Coleman on a banana.

Unrelated question. Why does Dana White wear a Saturday Night Live shirt on TUF?
