Has Jeff Jarrett ever been a face during his TNA/IW career? Has he been a face ever during his career as I haven't watched much WCW towards the end of its existence?

Pretty sure he was a face in Memphis. As for his career in TNA, I am pretty sure he was a face around the death of his wife, as I would be kind of flabbergasted if they had the Impact Zone booing him during that.

Hes been face a few times, most notably after he had a long absence after the death of his wife he returned to a very welcoming impact zone with tank you Jeff chants and such, he fuded with a very heel Kurt Angle at the time.
I recall him being face in the Asylum days but not much about it.

Jarrett was a superface at some point during the Asylum days, especially during his feud with Raven.

Another JJ question (or series of questions):
What was the idea behind the JJ MMA angle -- by that I mean, why did they do it and then why did they suddenly stop.
To me, it's the only time I ever remember really thinking much of JJ. It was a neat angle, kind of different and it made him a better heel while at the same time giving me a reason to appreciate his character.
Before I knew it, it was over.

It was over his feud with Kurt, and Joe to an extent, cause he was trying to make fun of the whole technical wrestling thing Kurt did. It ended when Kurt came back to school him a bit, and it shifted to making Jeff look better than Kurt over the family man thing with Karen.

Would you consider he faux-Horseman run in late-era WCW a face run?
I don't think he was ever a face in the WWF.

I know he was face before--and I think during--the whole Main Event Mafia thing. I also think he was face before he joined up with Immortal. This could've been the same face-run, but my memory of TNA these past couple years gets a little...foggy.

Yea his face fun after his wife died was pretty enjoyable IMO. It's one of the only times where Jarrett didn't completely annoy me.

Jarrett was more or less a face in TNA after he left for a while over his wife and then came back as the inspirational babyface. In fact he really wasn't a heel again until joining Immortal at BFG 2010.
I've often found Jarrett a very puzzling heel. He really has never seemed like a particularly bad guy, and if anything seems like he would be quite a nice guy in real life. He was a babyface for nearly all of his USWA run in Memphis (his debut circa 1986 all the way until his 1994 WWF debut). He may have been a heel since lord knows everyone turned in Memphis at some point, but I can't recall a real lengthy heel run.

Jarrett was never heel in Memphis until after the Double J thing started, which was his first heel run.

Jarrett was never heel in Memphis until after the Double J thing started, which was his first heel run. Yeah, Jarrett spent his career in the USWA as a babyface. Matter of fact they pushed him as a sex symbol.
