Ohio State is banned from post-season play, right? Because that's the ONLY way I see Michagan getting a shot at the Big 10 Title. Again, we suspended two starters before this game and are trying to break in a new defense. By the OSU game, this will be an entirely different looking team.

Oh and the only good thing about this game...f*** Floyd Mayweather and his $3 million dollars. I normally like him but that even pissed me off.

I'm at the Mich/Bama game. Nosebleeds, but still pretty cool.

It isn't like 3 million dollars is a big deal for him It goes back to people having NO clue what they are doing and making Michigan look bad. Nobody that has any clue about this team would have thought they would win except blind fanboys. The best even the top Michigan watchers were expecting was to maybe cover the spread if we were lucky and when it became obvious that Fitz and Clark weren't playing that (granted that wasn't announced until yesterday but was obvious going back 2 months ago) then that was out the damned window.

Michigan last season was a fluke team. They escaped a mediocre Notre Dame team at home, they escaped a bad Ohio State team at home, and Denard still isn't a great passer, he's best served when let loose to run free but Hoke seems intent on making him a pass first QB, which he isn't nor shouldn't he.

And Texas State upsets Houston! Not that much of an Upset. Old-man Keenum and the coach were the only ones keeping them semi decent.

You know, I gotta be honest. Overall, this was a pretty bad opening weekend. The only real highlights were blowouts on a massive margin and a couple of upsets sprinkled throughout. Nearly every BCS team struggled at least at some point against their cupcakes and in the end didn't look impressive.
I just hope things improve next week, and REALLY hope things improve by the time conference play begins.

Damn what I would have given to see UNI knock off the Badgers. Also I am beginning to think that Penn State won't irk out a win this season.

Indiana was able to equal their win total from the 2011 season by knocking off Indiana State, 24-17. I have a feeling this is going to be a frustrating season to watch.

Granted, against an FCS team, but considering how a lot of teams struggled against FCS teams yesterday. that's kind of a complement.

It sucked to see Michigan get embarrassed last night. I didn't think they would win but thought they might be able to keep it competitive.
Today, I'll be watching Kentucky vs. Louisville and pulling for the Cats to upset the Filthy Cards.

Well, it was a rough start for me/my team (Auburn). I realize Clemson is a good team, but if Auburn would have had a competent quarterback and coaching staff, they probably would've won. So many times in the red zone without a touchdown to show for it. I'm afraid it's going to be a loooong season.
The only good thing to come out of this season? Maybe it's so bad that next year Auburn will get a new head coach and a new quarterback. They sorely need both.

Oh you mean the Auburn coach that won you a national championship two yrs ago? That guy? First championship since the 50's wasn't it? You mean the championship Cam Newton won? Let's face it, when you have a player/QB like Newton on your team, you don't have to be a coaching mastermind to start wracking up wins. The players play with no focus or discipline. A lot of the team's problems are due to poor coaching. I didn't like him when they hired him, I didn't like him when they won the title, and I don't like him now. And it's not just me. I've honestly yet to talk to an Auburn fan who has much faith in him. As a matter of fact, a friend of mine actually said that, "the bad part of winning the title was that Chizik got a contract extension." Plus, this is the guy who initially hired Ted Roof as DC. That alone should tell you something is wrong with him. I think if the team doesn't improve or compete against their rivals, he's done.
