Where Flair looked really good up until 2004 and then aged like crazy, Hogan seems to have stopped aging around the same time. Honestly, he hasn't looked that much different since 2002-2003.

Its weird. He got to 2002 and then just stopped aging. Back aside obviously.

I can't believe he looks as good as he does. He can barely walk so how does he work out to keep that physique?

I can't believe he looks as good as he does. He can barely walk so how does he work out to keep that physique? If you're really good at bodybuilding in which I'm sure Hogan is, you learn to lift with just whatever limb you're working on and not moving your body for support for that takes away on what you're trying to work on. Edit: Also DDP's yoga if he's taking it. Plus weightlifting or cardio doesn't always irritate injuries. It's basically any physical sporting activity that does it. Like for Hogans case, I'm sure it's bumping that takes the most out of the back or moving around in weird motions like running to the ring ropes that hurt's his back the most. Not lifting. I also haven't seen TNA in a while so I'm not sure if he walks with a limp or not.

I don't think Hogan does any yoga stuff, I haven't heard of it, but I'd imagine it could be a really good idea for him.
Can't undo all the years of wear and tear, but anything that might make him a little more flexible (and less likely to reinjure himself again) would sound a great idea.

It's a shame for him certainly, but as a former WCW and a current TNA fan, I can't say I'm too upset over the prospect of not seeing him in the ring again.

Hulk looks good, if his back was in a bit better shape I'd like to see him take on Cena, it would have to be at the right venue though.

The Hogan-Flair aging comparison is interesting.
A few comments:
Hogan 1) As someone else mentioned, weight training need not irritate existing injuries. Hogan has weight trained for 40 years. He knows how to do it. 2) He got off steroids around 20 years ago, and lost a good bit bit of weight then. He's never been a heavy drinker, or had any other vices(that we know of) that would age him more quickly. 3) He's always admitted that he was gifted with a great body. Once he grew up from a chubby childhood, he's had a great physique ever since. 4) No Tanning-Hogan inherited his deep skin from his part-latin American mother. He's never had to tan, or suffer the effects of prolonged tanning bed use.
Flair 1) Ric weighed 300 lbs when he started in the business. He's lost weight ever since, and that became apparent in the late 90s. The excess, baggy skin just doesn't look good. I'll bet he now weighs around 200. 2)Heavy drinking/partying-The Nature Boy is the unquestioned master of partying and crazy behavior in the wrestling world, and although he's survived more than most men could live thru, his body shows it. He's the Keith Richard of wrestling. 3) Tanning-he's admitted to tanning heavily for years, and still does apparently. Nothing ages skin more.

Hmm...I've seen Hogan many times when he over tanned and was orange.

He aged better than Flair, anyway. Keith Richards aged better than Ric Flair.

Hogan never drinks? He said he was a huge partier in his book. He even passed out drunk on his wedding night while eating a steak.

T 2) He got off steroids around 20 years ago, and lost a good bit bit of weight then. He's never been a heavy drinker, or had any other vices(that we know of) that would age him more quickly. His size increased substantially after his early-mid 90's lean spell. Just look at his size at WM18 compared to say his 1995 WCW run. I think the Hulkster looks great but I don't believe for a nano second he gave up steroids 20 years ago. He may have done for a period but he certainly reacquainted himself. Even towards the end of his WCW run he was getting bigger again.

Somewhere in an attic, there's a painting of Hogan that looks about 150 years old.
They didn't get his back in there.

If it weren't for his skin texture I'd swear Hogan bathes in the fake'n'bake. But even his skin doesn't look as bad for some reason.

So what's the latest on the condition of Hogan's back? Will it EVER get any better?

Funny thing about Hogan is he regularly goes from "looks great for his age" to "knocking on death's door" depending on the picture. I know Hogan said he didn't use a tanning bed but watch some of his crazy interviews where he's raising his hands alot. He looks like a tuxedo cat sometimes with half of his arm dark brown and the other half tawny colored.
You can see this also when he decided to be the good guy in black and had his mustache shaved. Even though it was cut, you could see where that hair had been protecting his skin for years, lol.
