It's Monday night, and that means another episode of the show you know and (maybe) love. RAW comes to you live from Chicago, and that usually means one thing... whether WWE want it or not.
If it were any other place other than the Allstate Arena, WWE Champion CM Punk would likely walk in as a hated, reviled bastard after his brutal assault on Jerry Lawler inside a locked steel cage last week. Instead, he could likely receive a welcome befitting a people's hero in the very arena that hosted his crowning moment in July last year. That said, his crusade for respect still ruffles the feathers of many, including No. 1 Contender John Cena. Will these two come to blows tonight, just a fortnight away from their battle at Night Of Champions? And is King in any condition to do his job tonight at the announce table?
What could have been a forgettable and probably regrettable series of anger management sessions for rivals Daniel Bryan and Kane has turned into one of the comedy highlights of 2012. But while Kane managed to have a breakthrough by not taking his anger out on secondary personal punching bag Zack Ryder, Bryan lapsed into more psychotic "NO!" chants at the accidental behest of R-Truth. This week, they must present anger collages to Dr. Shelby. What wackiness will come out of the sharing circle this week? More importantly, will we see more of Harold?
Alberto Del Rio has been on a proverbial treadmill in chasing his destiny for most of his year, chasing after Sheamus's World Heavyweight Championship. In the last couple of weeks, however, he has picked up a couple of big wins, including a submission win over Randy Orton. With another bout set for Night Of Champions, will there finally be some spice added to this long-running feud? And how could Orton and MITB holder Dolph Ziggler figure in?
Speaking of Ziggler, his manager Vickie Guerrero has launched a campaign to oust RAW General Manager AJ Lee from office, believing that she is not mentally fit to run the show. While she may have a point, genius and insanity do go hand in hand very well. Just look at Vince McMahon. Anyway, what do these two have planned out for each other tonight?
Midcard champs... IC Champion The Miz and US Champion Antonio Cesaro could both use wins to showcase why they deserve to be champion, as well as some challengers too, especially since every title will be defended at Night Of Champions. Could it be time for Cody Rhodes to forget about his issues with Sin Cara and go for gold again? Could Damien Sandow stake a claim to finally bring some intellectual bliss to a WWE title? Maybe there will be developments tonight.
Tag champs... The division is heating up, with The Prime Time Players, Primo & Epico, The Usos and International Air Strike (Kidd and Gabriel for the uninitiated) all looking at a shot at Kofi Kingston and R-Truth's belts. Who will step up tonight?
Divas champ... Holy hell, a PPV title match announced weeks in advance? What kind of sorcery is this? Now they actually have to build tension between Layla and Kaitlyn like in a normal feud!
All that, and Josh Mathews cops (probably) another beating, TONIGHT on RAW!

If Vickie does take AJ's GM spot, hopefully she won't do something "crazy" like steal Dolph Ziggler's MITB briefcase and chucking it into a river like Austin use to do back in the day.

I would laugh my ass off at that, if only because of the sheer pointlessness of such an act. "You realize it's the contract that's so important, not the briefcase, right? There is a such thing as a photocopier."

I'm not looking forward to this Raw in terms of storyline and development. I think most of the writers are just trying to get through the workday. Holiday episodes are up there with international episodes as being the most painful to watch.

I mean they attack both contenders in a #1 contenders match to get a free pass, but always end up facing them in a Triple Threat match, regardless. At the very least, it would start sowing the seeds of a Ziggler/Vickie split as he could then blame her for stirring up AJ leading to that.

Yeah, I guess this is the same company that had Shawn Michaels sign Chris Benoit's contract for a World title match, setting up a Triple Threat match somehow.

I still don't understand why Vickie was so upset with AJ for making that match with Ziggler and Jericho. Ziggler was the one asking for a rematch in the first place, and since he won the match, the added stipulation didn't affect him negatively.

You'd think they would be more worried about what AJ is going to do if she does lose the GM position and is on the loose again. I mean, we all saw the chaos she created with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan a few months back.

Did not realize it was in Chicago tonight. Man Punk has had some good times in that arena, defeating Kenny and appearing in the Cutting Edge days before WM23, defeating Regal for the IC Championship in a nodq match, a losing effort against Umaga in a good match, opening promo with "his people" on the go home Raw before his Mania match with Orton, MITB vs Cena, Extreme Rules vs Jericho. I would love to go and see an event in the AllState Arena.
Good look to WWE thinking that he is going to be getting heat tonight, even if last weeks old school brutal segment made Punk look like a crazed evil mad man. And I demand more Harold tonight! Including his in ring debut

Booker said AJ had no power to do that since the MITB is for the WHC.

I wouldn't understand the logic of replacing AJ with Vickie as the GM. Did all the crap she pulled as Smackdown GM along with taking out Teddy Long w/ Ziggler not matter?
Also Vickie is the one person who doesn't need to be in an authority position...not with that voice.

Yeah, I know people are tired of hearing about him...... {Spoiler} and yes, notable dev. talent usually travels with the roster anyway, but... Ambrose with fan after arriving in Chicago Of any of the cities he could debut in that might have a small, yet organic buzz for him, Chicago would be one of those cities. EDIT: And just to add more fuel to the fire, WWE.com has an article on today's page, the twenty most classic debuts.

Booker said AJ had no power to do that since the MITB is for the WHC. But it's not like her ruling is going to get overturned. So in a sense, she did have the power to do it. Besides, that only explains why Booker has a problem with it. Vickie, on the other hand, should be glad that the match happened, since this means that Jericho's now gone.
