No, he's not bringing back The PJ's. According to E!, CBS reached a deal to develop a Beverly Hills Cop TV show with Murphy as executive producer as well as appearing in the pilot and occasional cameo appearances. The show will be centering on Axel Foley's son joining the police force. www.eonline.com/news/343131/cbs-lands-eddie-murphy-s-beverly-hills-cop-tv-showIt had better be like this

Anything that gives Judge Reinhold work.

Has a spin-off about a character's son basically entering into the family business ever been successful?

I was wondering how Eddie would find a way to muck this up and the plot of the show revealed it to me.

Read that it would focus on Foley's son and that soured me on it. Axel Foley is an amazing character, why not just have the series focus on him?

Cool Eastwood refuses to bring back Harry.....but what if he had a son in a new movie with Clint only having a few scenes , let's face it the DH sequels aren't exactly master pieces so why not ?

I was wondering how Eddie would find a way to muck this up and the plot of the show revealed it to me. Actually, Eddie's been keeping them from screwing up the franchise. They sent him a script for a fourth movie where they gave him a comic relief sidekick, which he told them was stupid, because Axel IS the comic relief, and worse, the case that he would have been investigating was the death of Billy Rosewood, Reinhold's character, which he flat out rejected for being a terrible, terrible idea. So I have some faith in this.
