I actually haven't hated the Sheamus/Del Rio stuff like most people have, although I do think it's gone on too long, but can someone explain to me how exactly they're going to like sue Sheamus?
So Sheamus gets jumped by Del Rio and Ricardo, defends himself, ends up hitting someone who literally jumped into hit foot, and HE'S the one who gets in trouble?
I hate it when stuff makes no sense and this is just one of those things. You'd think there'd be someone to point out how shitty of a lawyer David Otunga is by now.

David Otunga takes extremely impossible to win cases and wins even when the law doesn't support him. Now that my friend is an ace attorney.

Anytime they try to insert legal doctrine into wrestling, it's going to be a disaster. The writers don't know how law works.

Haven't you heard unjust stories like a burglar suing the owner of the property, and sometimes even winning? Otunga is a sleazy lawyer, it's what makes him a heel.

His character would be much more interesting if he'd actually win some of the cases he brings up. Pretty much every time he either loses or the case gets randomly dropped and never mentioned again.

Yeah but they make it seem like it's serious. Then again, I remember seeing something with Jersey Shore where Ronnie got arrested after knocking out someone with one punch that was harassing them, trying to pick a fight, and wouldn't leave them alone. So I guess maybe you can get arrested for self defense.

No I'm just saying I remember seeing a rerun of that on MTV and wondering how the hell someone could get arrested for punching someone in self defense just because he hit him as hard possible

I say Del Rio should have already filed for legal action after Sheamus wrecked his car, but I guess the Brogue Kick that Ricardo has already taken in the past works.

These lawsuits and threats of lawsuits are getting ridiculous. Heyman, Josh Matthews and Del Rio in the past two months.
They're gonna end up replacing matches with lawsuits. "At Night of Champions, I'm taking you to court!"

Legal angles are just flawed from the word go.
It's perfectly viable that a wrestler could hide behind janky laws to be a chickenshit heel or whatever, but SO MUCH of what happens in wrestling is so ludicrous that it's hard to accept these if and when they do happen.
The Big Bossman can unearth the corpse of the Big Show's father, winch it, and drive it around for a little bit and that's fine, but a wrestler can't physically engage another wrestler on a wrestling show. That's just asinine.

I just hope that Ricardo comes out on Smackdown in a wheelchair with a neckbrace and a cast on his arm for no reason.
LOOK AT THE DAMAGE SHEAMUS HAS INFLICTED UPON THIS MAN.

Sure he can sue. Doesn't mean he'll win but he can do it. God bless America.

This will lead to Ricardo filing assault charges against Sheamus. Before a match cops will come to arrest Sheamus and he, remembering the last time cops came to arrest him, will shove and/or assault one the officers and getting more serious charges leveled against him.

I'd like to see Otunga go toe-to-toe on bird law.

"At Night of Champions, I'm taking you to court!" That needs to be Otunga's catchphrase, pronto.
