I have no faith in any part of this.
All of this reeks of John Cena overcoming the odds once more to achieve his dream in his hometown.
What's to stop Jerry Lawler from knocking out Heyman and making sure Punk loses?

Orton? Considering we had Bryan in the WWE title scene for three PPVs, I can see Orton getting away with it. Oton is going to be busy shooting a movie. I say Punk retains via shenanigans at Night of Champions which will set up Cena vs Punk at Hell in a Cell, Punk retains with help from Lesnar, which could then set up a traditional Survivor Series rules or maybe Punk/Lesnar vs Cena/Triple H at SvS. I like that idea. Im sure with the amount of talent on that roster that they can pull off an epic traditional survivor series main event and still have enough talent to make the rest of the card interesting. Traditional Survivor Series matchTeam Heyman vs Team CenaPunk/Lesnar/Bryan/Del Rio/Big Show w/Heyman vs Cena/HHH/Rock/Undertaker/Kane World Heavyweight ChampionshipSheamus vs Wade Barrett Tag Team Titles Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio vs Primetime Players vs Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd Number 1 Contender Match winner receives World Heavyweight Championship match at TLC. Street FightDolph Ziggler (still with briefcase) vs Mark Henry (face turn but still having the great trash talking character) Intercontinental ChampionshipThe Miz vs Kofi Kingston US Championship Antonio Cesaro vs Christian Pre Show Divas Championship MatchKaitlyn vs Eve vs AJ

Mostly those things are people. So people are stupid if they want a match to turn out a certain way? Only if they won't accept the actual result when it happens. I've just noticed people get so caught up in what they predict SHOULD happen that they find it hard to process anything else.

It would be a huge waste to put Heyman with Punk for a week and then have him drop the title. I know Punk has dominated the feud thus far but I just can't understand the booking sense behind attaching the WWE champion to the WWE's biggest current supervillain and taking the belt off him the week after. It immediately deflates the alliance. Not that I trust WWE but I'm hoping they do the right thing.

Only if it's not logical. That's how getting mad works. Sometimes things ARE stupid. Mostly those things are people. Sometimes. But sometimes other people use logic and previous successful booking that actually made money as the barometer of what should/can and does work. HHH beating Lesnar at Summer Slam, for example, with Lesnar still having a WrestleMania payoff on his contract, would have been ridiculous from a business perspective. Outside of being a fan of HHH, there was not one logical, sound reason ever mentioned here for why that had to happen. Luckily, WWE was smart enough to see that, and now they have two interesting stories coming out of it; arguably three. Is HHH done? Can he come back? And if he does, will he be the same man/competitor, or is his spirit broke? Will Lesnar return? And if so, when? How? And if he does, who will stop him? A refocused HHH? Undertaker? Someone else entirely? There are more possibilities now. What would be left to tell if HHH won? Exactly. So, ya, don't lump everyone together into one pile of dissent. It's not the case. Wrestling is storytelling, and as a writer myself, I just recognize bad writing and good writing, and proper character arcs. And I apply that to WWE. I dissect it. I don't apply personal opinion; or try not to to the best of my ability.

In fairness, I see Cena planting Punk with the AA this coming Monday, to provide the stock hook for NoC.

The big reason why the Punk/Heyman alliance is a sexy idea is the big elephant in the room of Brock Lesnar. The fact that Punk/Heyman can allude to Brock and have him be the invisible support player in the background to intimidate people is fantastic. It's like these heels have this super doomsday weapon in the Master of the Brocktagon if the faces want to f*** with them too much, that they can threaten to bring in and go scorched earth all over their asses.

I don't apply personal opinion; or try not to to the best of my ability. I never once said I thought HHH should win. I'm not sure quite how you came to the conclusion that my comment was based on that. Mine was simply a very broad comment based on the fact that quite often wrestling fans get mad when things they didn't see coming happen. Even if it isn't stupid and illogical. Of course that doesn't apply to all wrestling fans, that much is implicit. But it is a trend I have noticed. And sometimes, as far as I can see, it is not based on people having discerning views on storytelling, character arcs or any type of narrative. It's based on people not being able to comprehend any other story than the one they had mapped out in their head. I am quite aware that those criticisms are often valid. But just as often they are rash criticisms made before people have the whole picture.

I prefer Brock eventually turning face and rebelling against Heyman and Punk. And yeah, I know the more logical outcome would be Punk getting fed up with Heyman/Brock and rebelling against them, but Punk's a better heel than Brock so screw it.

If done right it could be an epic build up for a WWE Championship match at Mania. Thinking of the card ending up something like this WWE Championship Grudge Match CM Punk (c) w/Heyman vs Brock Lesnar World Heavyweight Championship Sheamus (c) vs Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett vs Dolph Ziggler Streak on the line John Cena vs Undertaker Special Attraction The Rock vs Daniel Bryan

Damn, your right I forgot about Ziggler. I (much) prefer him to Del Rio as well, good call and thanks I think its a pretty good Mania card too.
