Christina Applegate is leaving Up All Night. This, after the creator, Emily Spivey, did the same. So it's only a matter of time until that show is gone too, I'm sure.

How the heck are they going to do the show without the main character? Unless they have her walk out on her husband AND her daughter, and doing that would change the whole dynamic of the show.

Oh totally. I'm more shocked that they haven't just canceled it yet. Maybe she's contractually obligated to complete the season, but it won't return after that? I don't see how it can.

Similar thing happened in 1986. Valerie Harper left her show... called Valerie. After a contract dispute Lorimar television fired her after two seasons. The series continued without her with the explanation that her character had died off-screen. In 1987, it was initially renamed Valerie's Family and then The Hogan Family, as Harper was replaced by actress Sandy Duncan, who played her sister-in-law Sandy Hogan. NBC canceled The Hogan Family in 1990, but it was picked up by CBS for one more season.

Early reports are that NBC is trying to get Lisa Kudrow to replace Applegate.

f***ing hell being human (UK) was the scary last night, I guess that's what happens when you give villains a five year build-up before they're seen and then mix them with child ghosts and... {Spoiler}The devil I'm gutted BBC have axed this show.

Deadline is reporting that ABC is moving Happy Endings to Fridays beginning in late March.
Better hope TBS is interested, otherwise you can kiss this show goodbye.

Glad Supernatural has become such a staple for them. I'd imagine the extra exposure it gets from heavy rotation on TBS gives it a leg up on the CW's other shows. Arrow may be my favorite new show of this season. I'm watching two CW shows for the first time since Angel and Buffy were on and am interested in that Cult show that's starting next week.

Yeah this one's gonna bite the dust. It's a shame. Very funny show. But I don't think it has a lot of steam left anyway. Probably could have done another full season, but the show seems somewhat limited in potential.

Ratings for Thursday, February 14American Idol continues its slide. Community falls to a series low. Zero Hour flops in its premiere. Congrats ABC, you managed to kill off another show with potential by putting it in that awful timeslot. When will you guys ever learn that no drama will ever work in that timeslot?

Up All Night is more interesting in purgatory than when it was made. Now, with Maya Rudolph pregnant, they're thinking of centering the show on her character having a baby. Will Arnett might leave already for a Greg Garcia sitcom for CBS.

I just watched the wedding episode of Parks & Rec, and it was the best episode the show's ever had (& they've had a ton of amazing episodes). Absolutely perfect in every sense

TBS renewed King of the Nerds for Season 2.
CW moves Cult to Fridays after Nikita starting next week, will air reruns in its Tuesday time slot next week as Cult only got a 0.3 in the adults 18-to-49 demo each of its first two episodes.
Fox show The Goodwin Games will debut May 20th.
