Bill Buckner = The Shockmaster No. Bill Buckner was a great player whose one mistake ended up unfairly defining his career. I'd say Rick Ankiel in the 2000 postseason is more comparable to the Shockmaster. Alright but who is Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown Kerry Von Erich.

You know what, now that I think about it, The Rock is more of a Sandy Koufax. Struggled out of the gate, revamped his style, became one of the greatest of all time, and left during his prime.

Babe Ruth was the greatest in his prime, However he stayed around long after his prime was over (Even had other players run for him after he made the hit) Not really. He was still a really good player past his prime and was never really bad, with his only meh season coming as a player/president with the Braves which he only played 28 games in. To be honest, this is where I get my knowledge of Babe Ruth.

Gorgeous George was the Babe Ruth of wrestling. He was the first megastar in the industry, just like Babe Ruth. Both were big time attractions, especially for what they were doing at the time (well before anyone else was doing the equivalent in their sport). Neither of them would be a great transition to the modern age because of that. You think Babe Ruth would have been crushing the ball like that against Bob Gibson in his prime, or saw anything like Randy Johnson's slider. George wouldn't be able to go in the ring with a Shawn Michaels in his prime.
Hogan is more like Hank Aaron or Ted Williams, or Nolan Ryan maybe.
Triple H is Barry Bonds. Everyone hates him and doubts the merits of many of his late career accomplishments

Wouldn't it be someone like Lou Thesz? Whereas Hogan would be some later, equivalent great? Yeah, Lou Thesz, all the way. I liken Hogan more to Mickey Mantle.

Zach Gowen is more like the Hugh "One Arm" Daily of wrestling. Only known for having a missing appendage.
