So we keep hearing about Cena fighting in his hometown at Night of Champions, despite the fact that he's not from Boston. So I ask then, will they actually bill him from Boston on Sunday to keep up the illusion or flat out throw out the window the lie that he's from Boston?
Unless they have that mentality of anything MA is Boston. Sort of like how anything New England is also Boston.

Cena has always been billed from West Newbury. But isn't that a suburb of Boston, or somewhere in that general area?

It's close to Boston, but not Boston, but as I said, they seem to have that "everything in Massachusetts is Boston" mentality that a lot of people have.

He's always been billed from West Newbury, so I assume that's how they'll do it when they are actually in that vicinity. A lot of times, it's easier to use the largest city to mention where someone is from, rather than the actually city. Like John Morrison being from Los Angeles, instead of being from PV.

I thought John Morrison being from LA was to do with the fact Jim Morrison went to UCLA.

It's like Daly City or South City for San Francisco, people just say they're from SF.

Just out of curiosity, as I don't know anything about MA, is West Newbury a suburb of Boston that exists in the greater metro area or is there enough distance from Boston to WNB that it doesn't count? I only ask because I'm legit curious.

I want them to do this with something that's just an absurd distance away and possibly not even in the same state.
Like have someone from Little Rock, Arkansas be billed as competing in their hometown of Dallas, Texas on PPV.

They won't change his announced hometown to Boston.
Saying casually that Boston is his hometown sounds like what a lot like what people from my area often say when asked where they are from, saying 'Atlanta' instead of their actual city, suburb, unincorporated community, etc.

I only ask because I'm legit curious. West Newbury is way up north in Mass near the shore, about an hour away from Boston. To say your from Boston when you live in WN is a stretch, but most people who live in eastern Mass identify themselves with the city of Boston even if they don't actually live there According to google maps (my source on everything it seems) West Newbury is about as far North of Boston as Foxbourough (home of the Patriots who are considered a de facto Boston team) is South. Not that that matters for anything, just warrants mentioning. For creative narrative I'm not sure it's too far out of bounds to consider WNB and Boston to be essentially one in the same.
