You have no idea how many times I had to debate the fact that there was only ONE Ultimate Warrior, and Undertaker. Some kids just never want to listen... for me it's the opposite. There have clearly been two undertakers.

I always think of the wrong impression people have of the Attitude Era. People point to that as a time of gritty, realistic, story lines. While that was certainly somewhat true, the Attitude Era also gave us:
-Kane and Undertaker supernatural powers fights -Val Venis getting his dick chopped off (almost) -Paul Bearer thrown in a sewer -Austin almost getting embalmed -Austin getting thrown of a bridge into a rushing river only to be fine the next week -Triple H getting dumped off a forklift in a car only the be fine the next week (except for a band-aid) -Austin getting a f'n cinder block dropped on his head from a balcony only to return later that night -Austin's MacGyver-like ability to acquire any vehicle, set up high explosives, set booby traps, and even get RATTLESNAKES to use on his enemies ...I'm sure there are a ton more
All great, fun stuff, but it was probably the one of the least realistic times in WWE history. The New Generation with their farmers, clowns, and country music singers was more grounded in reality.

Steve Austin's King of the Ring 96 promo led to him being the biggest star in WWF. It wasn't until nearly two years later that he became a mega star. I remember last year when Punk lost the WWE title to Alberto at Summerslam there were comments like "can you imagine if they treated Austin like this 2 months after he cut his 3:16 promo?" 2 months after his 3:16 promo Austin was in a DARK MATCH at Summerslam! Then when Punk lost to HHH there were comments like "can you imagine if Austin lost to a part-time wrestler just when he was getting hot?" Austin lost CLEAN to Bret Hart in Bret's first match in 8 months at Survivor Series 96. That reminded me of some complaining I saw about some followup to a PPV, "can you imagine if Hogan hadn't shown up on Nitro the night after turning heel?". Which he didn't...

Ooh here's a big one I forgot:
If Cena's debut match is still on YouTube, you'll find that a lot of people are commenting stuff along the lines of "What happened to this Cena? Why can't he wrestle like this anymore!" or "Back when Cena knew how to wrestle." This REALLY annoys me. Know why?
HE WRESTLES EXACTLY THE SAME TODAY. He literally uses all of those moves still, some not as often as others, but for the most part, he wrestles just like that. The only difference is that he wasn't wearing jorts.

I've heard people talk about how great Mankind and Undertaker's match at the 1998 King of The Ring was, just based on the two spots Foley took. After that, there was hardly any wrestling. They were just plodding around.
The Rock WASN'T the first one to say jabroni in the WWF. Iron Sheik said it 12 years ago.
Wrestlemania 3 wasn't the first time Andre The Giant was slammed, not even by Hogan. It wasn't even their first encounter together.

Andre didn't want to do the job at WM 3, he weighted 800 pounds and died shortly after his match.
Oops you wanted fan misconceptions.

That Lex Luger was supposed to win the title at Wrestlemania X until he told some guys in a bar about it.

Coming back from the neck injury. Stunning Vince for the first time. But he didn't become a huge star in terms of being able to move ratings and really begin challenging WCW until the stuff with Mike Tyson in early 1998. popularity is not an indication of quality. I think the argument can be made that it is. The stars always known as the "greatest", even amongst fans, are usually the ones that were popular and well-known.

Is this whole Orton pooping in a gym bag just some ironic meme that I am unaware of? Because some people still take it seriously when the victim herself clarified that it was suntan lotion and baby oil that was smeared all over it. It was still a dick move but the poop thing is far from reality.

Yeah, it was the Klique that liked to poop in things.
Here's a WCW one: They never revealed who drove the Hummer. They did. It was Eric Bischoff. They just revealed it several months, and four regimes, later. It would have been a retcon had they had any idea who it was going to be in the first place and it wasn't just a cheap way to get people to talk after the Greater Power angle in the WWF (originally it was going to be Sid, then they decided to stretch it out even longer, even considering Carmen Electra).

Another one people seem to misremember is how the Cena hate started. Lots of people say it was when he faced Christian, but if you go back it's clear that the fans were still very Pro-Cena at the time, and against Jericho the crowds were relatively even. Cena was never really booed outright until his Kurt Angle feud.

Which leads me to this: I've heard some people say they wish Cena wasn't the Superman character he became in 2005, that they want the Cena from before his move to Raw back. Here's the thing: Since his face turn, THAT is the same John Cena we've BEEN seeing! Never losing to Big Show? Lasting five minute matches against Rene Dupri, Booker T, and RVD, and managing to beat Rene in ten seconds in a rematch, ALL IN THE SAME NIGHT?! Holding the US title after facing those three guys at GAB, and never officially losing the belt? Only losing the US title again through cheating? Making the bad guy out to be a bigger loser than he already is by making a Youtube Poop out of his "I quit!"? For that matter, beating the guy up despite the fact he already SAID I quit?! Yeah. The Cena as of 2005, whether it was WM21 against JBL or the match against Mohammed Hassan, has been the same guy since November of 2003. I'm amazed there's people that haven't realized it.

I'm pretty sure jabroni was slang for a jobber for a decade or more before Rock started saying it (and Wikipedia credits Sheiky for it). The Rock also didn't come up with "Roody Poo", Iceman King Parsons used to say it all the time back in the 80's. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDDMBwJUApg&t=13s
