I've always wanted to know what you guys thought of the UK. I've lived here all my life and notice that alot of the country are quite influenced by the USA. What do you guys think about the UK though, does it suck in comparison?

You guys are pretty cool. Not as cool as us of course (USA! USA! USA! ;D) but the UK is pretty sweet.

You Brits give us terrible reality TV shows, but give us great rock musicians at the same time (and always have). You have some bizarre puddings and kippers and whatnot that almost no one in this country considers the least bit appetizing, but you also have the magic meal in the Chip Butty.
Oh, and your comedy series are brilliant.

Great pop/rock music history (and please, don't apologize for One Direction, those kids can sing), awesome sitcoms, fascinating history, and amusing profanity.

UK seems like it has some really good food and great scenery. I don't think I'd want to go to London, but traveling around the countryside would be a great experience to have. From my experience, the people are about on par as everyone else, there are some arrogant pricks, and some genuinely nice people. It has a good musical history, even if it did cause Simon Cowell to be unleashed on the US. On top of that, the UK gave us Top Gear and Doctor Who, so props there.
On the other hand, you guys gave us Russell Brand, so f*** you.

I remember reading an article a few years back that the UK is the nation with the largest percentage of women with breast implants compared with total female population. And apparently these women aren't just going with the "I'll get a C cup to fill out my dress better" model of fake boobies, they're fully embracing the "go big or go home" policy. That makes you guys cool. That and Doctor Who. And the fact that you sell Cadbury Creme Eggs year round. And the fact that you have cooks that are willing to batter and deep fry those same Creme Eggs just for kicks and giggles.
Man, I really should save up and visit this place.

They talk all funny-like.
Plus, what's with their failure to acknowledge the letter z?

I'm drinking a very lovely IPA at the moment, so you cats are all right in my book. Also, Red Dwarf, Mike Leigh and Exile on Main Street.

England? If I was given the opportunity to live there and become a citizen, I would in a heartbeat.

I like the music in general there. You're not afraid of the past and some songs become hits all over again years after the fact. On the other hand, no ice. BOOOO!

While I'm scared I'd be in for quite a culture shock, I dream of visiting England, not just to see the sites in London (I'm honestly not a HUGE city fan...I really don't even like New York or Chicago) but to see the smaller towns and the breath taking country side. I've stated on here before, but I'm a big Dungeons and Dragons fan as well as a fan of medieval history, so the chance to see any of the castles or perhaps the palace or something like that would be wonderful.
As far as the people themselves go, they seem much like the people of the US...some are arrogant assholes, but some seem like they'd give the shirts off their backs for you. Overall though, the optimist in me believes the English people are a good and kindly folk, and I'd love to meet and befriend some of them one day.

I have a fair number of coworkers in the UK, and for a while, I didn't know what they looked like... I'd just heard their voices on phone conferences. And they all looked very glamorous in my head because their voices were so beautiful. It was a shock when I saw pictures of them and they looked totally ordinary. Basically like Americans, if you can believe it. But their voices are so beautiful! (Yep, I'm the type of girl Megalon is talking about. ) Anyway, I have a lot of affection for the UK, from a distance. I'd love to visit someday and get to know it a little better up close.

I was born there. I would not want to move back, but the UK has produced some of the best comedy, music, and food in history.

They talk all funny-like. Plus, what's with their failure to acknowledge the letter z? They make up for it with their use of the letter x.

I like the Brits. I think I'd like living there, but I get the feeling they look down on Americans, so I don't know if I'd be well received. But you have to admire a culture that has given us The Beatles, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Emma Watson.

We're generally nice to Americans as individuals, we're just a bit sarky about the country itself. My girlfriend's American, and we didn't get any negative comments when she was over here. They talk all funny-like. Plus, what's with their failure to acknowledge the letter z? They make up for it with their use of the letter x. And we're not as stingy with our us.
