From my understanding, it's pretty much every "Pre-Rock Band 3" song, and it sounds like it's permanent.

I still have some MS Funbux leftover. Not enough to buy any big DLC packs or XBLA games, but I can get a few discounted songs at least.

I just wish they'd give it its own store, a la Lips, so it wouldn't constantly clog up the Game Marketplace new releases.

The Wii version's store is integrated into the games (well, 2 and 3 because 1 for the Wii sucked) but that's probably the only plus it has over the other systems. The Wii didn't even get the Rock Band Network.

Then again, I don't know any RB players who actually buy it through the XBLA marketplace interface. The Music Store in-game is so much better.

are these gonna be songs that work with RB 1 and 2? or just for 3 and that new game.

Every song that works with Rock Band 3 works with the first two games. And vice versa. Just won't be able to do pro modes, keyboards, or vocal harmonies on games earlier than 3. But everything's otherwise compatible with everything else.

Some of the on disc songs didn't transfer over due to licensing (Metallica RB 1, RHCP RB 2). I'm not sure if newer songs that came out after RB 3 will be compatible with RB 1 or 2, but anything before would be.

Dead Kennedys Pack HIM Pack Metallica Track Pack 1 Behemoth - Conquer All Dio - Holy Diver At The Gates - Blinded By Fear

The Rock Band 1 export key is on sale for 5 bucks as well, but not RB 2.

This would be tempting if I wasn't completely out of touch with Rock Band.

Ah, that explains it. I was on the store a couple of days ago, and it said that all the songs were 80, but when I went to buy, they were 160.

Only a few of the on-disc songs (and some of them came back; There was a recent title update for RB3 that added Black Hole Sun and... some other song I forgot. And Spoonman's back in Blitz). All the DLC is compatible.

So far I've picked up...
"Let Forever Be" by The Chemical Brothers (Still amazed this is even on Rock Band... not that I'm complaining or anything) "Stand Up And Shout" by Dio "Jesus Built My Hotrod" by Ministry "You've Got Another Thing Coming" by Judas Priest "Cream and Bastards Rise" by Harvey Danger "Pain" by Jimmy Eat World "Drop It Like It's Hot" by Snoop Dogg
Seriously Rock Band Blitz is amazing and makes me want to get back into Rock Band in general.
