*Warning: Incredibly Vague Description Ahead*
So, I just randomly got a Green Day song stuck in my head, that of which I can not remember the name to. I can, however, remember some of the music - which is very simple.
The song starts with a guitar chord and a cymbal crash, which it does 4 times over.
*Dun* *Dun* *Dun* *Dun*
Then there's a very short break, and I'm talking a couple seconds is all, where Billie sings - then there's 4 more hits with a couple second Billie singing break before the song actually starts. And, if I recall correctly, they have a couple songs that sound like this.
As for era, I don't think it's any older than 'Warning'. Anybody know what song I'm talking about.

No, it's not that - definitely more recent than that.

I'm thinking either "Welcome to Paradise" or "J.A.R."
Edit: Just saw the "more recent than 'Brain Stew'" comment. I'm thinking "East Jesus Nowhere"

I'm thinking "East Jesus Nowhere" Not quite, but your "East Jesus Nowhere" recommendation led me to "Jesus of Suburbia" and that was it. So, thank you!! Now that I know that, don't they have another song that's damn near identical to this one? I could've sworn they did, but I may be wrong.

So pieces of music reoccur through out the album, making it more cohesive.
