WZ is reporting that the WWE is considering bringing back the Nexus:
Almost sounds like more of LaBar's trolling to me...

Well...guess it's time to write a thread about Richard Simmons managing the reuniting Nexus.

Why bother? It failed miserably the first time.

I dunno how well you'd do it. Aside from Justin Gabriel, the other remaining members are pretty well entrenched in their current roles and gimmicks and they're all pretty preoccupied, even if Slater is just preoccupied being a goofy punching bag.

Why bother? It failed miserably the first time. Then why were people demanding it return?

WWE was shocked to hear that one incredibly smarky douchey crowd was chanting Nexus to be funny so they decided to bring back Nexus.
If they didn't hastily turn Daniel Bryan face after Miami, they're not bringing back Nexus.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. Outside of Gabriel, everybody else has a pretty good thing going for themselves and it'd be a big step back for the likes of Otunga or Ryback.

It ran its course, and honestly it wouldn't work now.

Yeah, actually, I'm not sure how Justin Gabriel hasn't really found his niche like everyone else in Nexus has. He's so blatantly set up for the pretty boy heartthrob archetype (the man was a freakin' underwear model, for crying out loud) that I don't know why they don't use him more in that role, if only to play the hot face in peril.

I don't necessarily want to see them reunite as a full time group. But I want to see some sort of interaction between them. The Rumble would be a great place to have Barrett, Bryan, Ryback, Darren, Otunga, Gabriel and Slater all in the ring at the same time. Maybe they form an alliance during the match or they could just fight each other.
Or maybe just a one off at Survivor Series or a tag match on Raw/SD. Problem is Gabriel and Ryback are the only two faces right now. Unless Bryan is a face, I'm not really sure.

I dunno how well you'd do it. Aside from Justin Gabriel, the other remaining members are pretty well entrenched in their current roles and gimmicks and they're all pretty preoccupied, even if Slater is just preoccupied being a goofy punching bag. Wade Barrett's character for the most part is the same, with the only real change being his moveset. David Otunga has a good gimmick, but he hasn't really gotten a credibility boost from that gimmick. He isn't used in the midcard, so he has no established credibility; the only time he wrestles, he's getting squashed by a main eventer. Plus there is one huge glaring flaw in Otunga's legal advisor character. It's way too dependent on OTHER wrestlers' storyines. When John Laurinaitis was removed from an on-screen role, Otunga got screwed by being taken off of television randomly. And it's possible that he may flounder again now that the Brogue Kick Being Banned storyline is over. Ryback is currently a face. However, he rejoin the group later down the line. Ryback could turn heel and say that he "wants to try a new diet" (kayfabe speak for: "I ran out of heels to squash and want to squash faces now"). Daniel Bryan is a main event character now, so while it may be difficult to see him as anyone's "lackey", he and Barrett could still be a semi-regular tag team for random main event tag matches, playa. Justin Gabriel is actually BETTER as the silent assassin of Nexus. Heath Slater can still be a goofy punching bag, even as part of the Nexus. I would keep Darren Young away from the group because he's better off with Titus O'Neil at this point. However, the stable should be booked differently. Nexus should be booked as equals rather than being "Wade Barrett and His Lackeys".

By this logic, WWE should be discussing whether or not to have Mark Henry come back as "Sexual Chocolate".

other than Ryback squashing Slater have there been two ex-Nexus folk having a match against each other until Barrett/Gabriel?
also you could argue Barrett and Gabriel were the two that stood out from the rest during the run (Wade as leader and Justin as the "FINISH HIM!" for the gang beatdowns) so to have them against each other was probably most likely to get those chants (as both haven;t really settled into a gimmick yet like ryback, otunga, slater and Young have)
but now's not really the time for it

I could go for this if Bryan was left out of it to continue with Kane.
Also, Slater must continually try to rejoin and fail to do so.

The crowd the entire night came off as douchey to me. Just the way they treated everyone the whole night.
