I wanted to get people's thoughts at the time and looking back at the Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie feud.
A summary of what happen was that it started in late 2002 when Dawn wanted to marry Torrie father Al. Dawn also started to have feeling for Torrie and promised to cancel the marriage to Al Wilson if Torrie spent a night with Dawn in a hotel. Thought she had feeling for Torrie, she married Al and then Al died from a heart attack after having sex during there honeymoon. Dawn told Torrie that she never loved her father and told her she killed her father by breaking his heart. Then during the funeral Torrie and Dawn had a cat fight and this all lead to an unremarkable match at the royal rumble in which Torrie won.
Some of the major moment of the feud including Dawn making out with Torrie and the aforementioned cat fight during Al's funeral.
At the time I recall that this feud actual got a lot of build and time during smackdown and actual felt like a big deal. So what were/are your thoughts on this storyline.

It got a lot of build and even time at PPVs. Fans ate it up. It was trashy, but was a good example of how you could give even divas storylines to work with...of course, it benefited from coming from an era where you could see women make out on WWE TV and have implied sex scenes to the joy of raucous crowds. They can't do that anymore.
I believe Torrie said that she and Dawn were really good friends and came up with the idea together.

Being about 10-11 when this angle took place, I only remember believing Al Wilson died for like a week. I think this was the catalyst of realizing wrestling wasn't entirely legit for me lol.

It led to the make out, pie fight/chocolate milk fight, and Dawn ending up with a pumpkin on her head in the ring. I would take all that hot/ridiculousness anyday.

One of the worst moments of the WWE, especially the weeding.

As a pervert, this is the single greatest storyline in the history of the WWE. I keep hoping AJ/Kaitlyn rehash this storyline, but so far I have been disappointed.

The angle was stupid, campy, and trashy. Exactly the kinds of things pro-wrestling needs sometimes. I was entertained to heck with the storyline. My only gripe was that it took center stage of Smackdown, even if it was for just a brief while. All in all I enjoyed it.

It was one of those things that makes me glad for the PG era. It almost made me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan.

Didn't it win the Gooker award for that year?
It was stupid, but harmless.

I always remember Michael Cole saying "this must be so hard for Dawn Marie". I remember feeling sorry for Cole having to say that sincerely.

As far as the amount of time that Torrie spent in the wrestling business, I would consider her one of the worst female wrestlers of all time. Every match with her seemed like something you would see out of someone who had been wrestling 4 months, instead of 3-5 years, it's uncanny how she never improved.
So for her to get this enormous storyline and not have a better idea of how to execute the match, then it's a disappointment. Things should never be subpar if it's being given several months of build, which is why I hated the main event of WM25 so much.
