As I said in the Raw thread, I hope to god Punk's got his working shoes on for this match. What a load they put on his shoulders.

Yeah, HiaC is five weeks away and the main event challenger can't wrestle. Ryback is going to get his shot and win by DQ/Count-Out. It might lead to something down the road, but he ain't getting the PPV main event. He really is Goldberg. From Raven to Hogan in one day.

Put Orton in the spot. Put Rey in the spot. Hell, make it Sheamus/Punk for Champion vs Champion. I really hate this booking.

If this is their backup plan in case Cena isn't ready by Hell in a Cell... it's actually a pretty good idea, compared to the alternatives. Orton's much more established, but at the same time that means winning or losing wouldn't alter his career or his place in the pecking order one way or the other, and the whole thing would reek of filler. Ryback's a fresh face who's been carefully protected and built up for months, such that even though he'll obviously lose, there's still the question of whether or not he'll be able to hang with the main eventers, and I think that could generate at least a little bit of interest. Why have him lose? Ryback could win. Then defend it against Punk and Cena and one pins the other.

I was NOT expecting that. Just started a program with Miz, the IC champ.... and now all of a sudden a hotshot to the WWE Championship picture? That's what I was thinking... I like the idea for him to go after the IC title. I still think it's too early for Ryback to go after the big one.

We still have 5 weeks...they can still build to something.
I can't believe people are complaining that the same people get title shots and the moment they introduce someone new, people say there's no build. 5 weeks, guys.
It's not like this was done the week before the PPV.

I expect Miz to attack and injure Ryback in the next few weeks.
This is just a brief 2-3 week mini story before Cena can compete at HIAC

Lesnar gets involved at HiaC. Eventually leads to Brock vs. Ryback at Mania. You heard it here first.
Note: The fact that I predicted tis, means there's no chance it happens.

This might lead to Lesnar's return to help Punk retain, and eventually, Lesnar vs. Ryback.

Not gonna lie. If Ryback beats Punk for the title, that might be the best day of my life.

How awesome would it have been if the camera panned and The Boogeyman was standing there?

Except that having faith in the WWE the last forever hasn't gotten anyone anywhere. Why should we have faith now? We shouldn't..I know all too well about "having faith" since I criticized some people on here because of it. WWE almost always drops the ball. However, complaining about not elevating stars and then a possible chance to elevate someone, but people still complain doesn't help matters. I fully expect WWE to drop the ball. That's my cynical attitude. Every time I've enjoyed something, they either change the lineup or beating it to death. They do it just about every time. See, in my mind, here's what would happen; We get 5 weeks of Ryback going after chickens*** Punk. He gets ahold of the physical "spinner" belt and eats it. Thus Punk introduces a new belt and Ryback wants that one as well... *However my cynical spidey sense says* Ryback is substituted at the last second for Cena, who cleanly makes Punk tap in 7 minutes.
