So you know a few weeks ago when the board of directors told AJ Lee she couldn't hit any WWE talent or official or anyone associated with the company, or she'd face consequences? Well what's Paul Heyman, then?

a douchebag?
Ok joking aside, *channels kayfabe*: Is he really hired by the WWE in any way? Or is he just an agent for Lesnar and Punk?
Why am I protecting AJ anyway, I want her off my TV.

I don't think Paul Heyman qualifies as a WWE employee. He's an outside party that handles the affairs of CM Punk & Brock Lesnar.

They also dropped the whole "Josh Mathews suing for being attacked by Kane" thing too.
Its Russo-esque ADD booking.

I don't think Paul Heyman qualifies as a WWE employee. He's an outside party that handles the affairs of CM Punk & Brock Lesnar. That is pretty much what I think they'll say. They also dropped the whole "Josh Mathews suing for being attacked by Kane" thing too. Its Russo-esque ADD booking. They addresses that with Josh saying on Smackdown that Booker has convinced him not to sue and had heavily fined Kane.

They also said Punk could choose his own opponent for Night of Champions.
A week later, AJ picked Cena.

I think they dropped that Vickie/AJ("You can't hit me!") thing, it looked like it would lead to a match or something.

They also said Punk could choose his own opponent for Night of Champions. A week later, AJ picked Cena. That could easily be explained by Punk tried to take advantage of being allowed to and considering he was going to give it to Cena had he goaded him into calling him the 'Best in the World', AJ decided to make the match anyway. Punk always says let other guys in the back choose but he's never chose anyone else.

They also said Punk could choose his own opponent for Night of Champions. A week later, AJ picked Cena. AJ said it was pending her approval. She pretty much wouldn't approve anyone but Cena. And as someone said earlier, Paul Heyman is not a WWE employee, he's a hired associate of Brock Lesnar and CM Punk

Vickie is an associate of Dolph Ziggler. She and Heyman are in the same position as some sort of manager for an active WWE wrestler.

I think that any actions taken against AJ due to her slapping Heyman would be overruled or vetoed by Triple H because of Heyman's association with Brock Lesnar.

Vickie is an associate of Dolph Ziggler. She and Heyman are in the same position as some sort of manager for an active WWE wrestler. Vickie is established as being under a WWE contract, though. Heyman still isn't. He's specifically contracted to Brock and Punk. To Brunk.

Well then she hit Paul Heyman who isn't under contract.
Add her name to the HHH and Steph lawsuit.

I would think the Board of Directors would be even more upset about her hitting someone who isn't under contract.

Dunno.
I admire that they're even bothering with her dumb storyline now seeing as how DB and Kane essentially highjacked it.

I would think the Board of Directors would be even more upset about her hitting someone who isn't under contract. Yeah, but it's Paul Heyman. Just for that, Triple H and Stephanie probably gave her a raise and sent her a fruitbasket.

They addresses that with Josh saying on Smackdown that Booker has convinced him not to sue and had heavily fined Kane. Heyman walks out to the ring: "My client, Josh Mathews, agrees to drop the lawsuit, if you give him a match against Kane."
