I'm slightly overweight! Can I get a new podium? It's like Show knew how badly that segment was bombing and did his best to salvage it.

I was there in the arena, I intentionally left my seat to go buy some t-shirts and grab something to eat, still made it back in time for Big Show's podium to fall apart.

I actually thought "Rey Mysterio Sullivan" was funny.

I don't get why Sheamus wasn't clothed. We know e can be quite dapper, and show wore a suit, but instead he's not wearing pants!

You know, it's a real testament to the direction they've gone with Sheamus's character that quite a few people are looking at heel Big Show and going... "Yeah, he's more interesting."

My god, Sheamus is drunk! And shockingly racist! that's what I came away with from that segment. Guy has serious issues with the latino community. He also looked like a deer in headlights once the podium fell apart, and fumbled his way into the tout video.

They could potentially go somewhere with this "you don't take things seriously" angle with Sheamus.
I doubt WWE does anything about it though. :-\

I doubt WWE does anything about it though. :-\ It smells like a way to make Sheamus into an underdog going into the match, even though it probably won't even cause him any grief going in. It's not like he has lost any matches due to his joking at all.

Why the f*** are they trying to get Sheamus over as someone funny, he shouldnt be cracking jokes, it doesnt suit him/ he doesnt have the skills, he should be kicking ass and saying very little.

You can say what you want to about Big Show and his horrible yo-yo, face/heel/face/heel etc... ad nauseum booking, his inability to keep himself in shape and so on, but he's always been great at improv. He's a funny, witty, intelligent dude.
Sheamus, on the other hand, seems to be a lot more comfortable when things stay close to the script. His thick Irish accent doesn't help his delivery either.
I couldn't help but wonder during the segment if creative KNEW what they were setting Sheamus up for, and if this was some kind of test to see just how comfortable he would be with a live mic and loose script (compared to backstage segments). Eventually, you have to either sink or swim.
For my money, Sheamus sunk like a stone in the sea. He damn near completely lost the crowd. It was like one of those painfully unfunny SNL sketches that they know is bombing within the first couple of lines, but they roll with it anyway because by that point, they have no choice. Sometimes, there's just no salvaging the entertainment factor of a segment, so you just gotta get to the point and get the damn thing over with.
Take away Show's funny one-liners in that segment and it's a total waste. Sheamus looked like a total dummy.

Show vs. Sheamus in an improv is a bigger slaughter than even Punk vs. Sheamus in an improv. It's these things that make you wonder if they're self-aware or not. And Show really didn't put himself over, he could have made it alot worse on Sheamus than he did.

Sheamus initially got a pop, and then lost any crowd support he had with his promo.
Great wrestler, terrible character.

I hate Sheamus
From the utter brown-nose pandering to the crowd "Beautiful Oklahoma city!" to the lame insults "huh-huh, b.o and bad breath!" and the lame Rey Mysterio thing... the guy sucks. Just go away Sheamus.

They are hell-bent on making Sheamus the next John Cena, complete with half the crowd booing him. Sheamus is just so unlikable now. It really is amazing. I thought Cena's attempts at comedy were awful, but he seems like Richard Pryor compared to Sheamus. Sheamus as this big, "lovable" oaf just doesn't work for him.
