That hour having a higher rating than the other two doesn't indicate anything about Sheamus and Show doing well for ratings. I never meant to say that it did, but it's just stupid to automatically think (without even seeing the breakdown) that Sheamus/Show was what caused the rating to sink. Well, the rest of that hour didn't help, let's put it that way. That 9-10 hour was a pit of despair.

Lowest quarter for an episode of Raw in 15 years. That's quite telling.

Forget Punk and Sheamus. Apple vs. Encore = new boom period.

Funny that Meltzer was correct in saying this show would have a segment that would set records in lost viewers, but that the segment he said would lose viewers actually gained some.

It's a REALLY telling sign when a guy you've pushed for most of the year lost nearly a million viewers.

Wow, Bertie may be seeing the midcard soon. Didn't he lose 800k viewers with Santino like 3 times in a month and a half earlier this year? I doubt this will change anything.

Wow, Bertie may be seeing the midcard soon. I'd sooner put money on Kofi Montego showing up in the Impact Zone.

Well whatever the issue is, we certainly can't blame Sheamus/Show for it.

To play devil's advocate a bit, those matches were in some terrible time-slot if I recall correctly. So I don't think it's all his fault but it still not a good sign for del rio...

I have to imagine that ratings losses and lower ratings in general, due to limited viewer endurance, were taken into account with the decision to go 3hrs. They probably have to plummet substantially across the board for any action to be taken.

Well whatever the issue is, we certainly can't blame Sheamus/Show for it. Well, they put that segment on the start of the second hour. It was going to jump no matter what.

Alberto Del Rio hasn't won on PPV in just shy of a year, and when he won there it wasn't even clean. If you haven't had a guy win a big match clean in well over a year why would you even expect people to care about him?
He can't be an effective heel because he always gets beat, thus no heat. To get a hot and over heel people will want to pay to see him lose and get his comeuppance, but now they just have to wait every 3 weeks at most to see Alberto get beat.
This is the ADR booking playbook.... Lose big match Beat someone from the middle of the card that nobody cares about Attack a top guy to set up a big match Lose big match repeat
