You knew the writers were going to put in some hacky election stuff. It's the WWE. It was going to happen, but we were lucky it wasn't Obama vs Romney in the ring.
The problem with the debate is the participants. Sheamus is becoming a bigger d*** than Cena, and Big Show's playing the same heel character he's played for years.

It's only a matter of time before Brodus admits that he did it for The Rock.

They are surprised the debate failed? Seriously?! It's that insular mentality WWE has. People can tell from the outside "alright, this won't go well", but internally sometimes they have zero idea.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Tensai character. Other than "Smash" "Smash" "Smash" everytime he hits someone.

If they do switch gimmicks I demand Tensai enters to some cheesy J-Pop.

Brodus was doing fine as a mid-card comedy act that didn't outstay its welcome. Then once the Big Show buried him, he has never recovered.
As for the debate, it's bewildering to think that WWE didn't know that it was going to be a disaster.

They are weird with Brodus, it seems like they will start feuds with him (recently they teased a feud with Cesaro, then one with Slater's band stable) but then drop them immediately.
MIDCARD FEUDS, GUYS! YOU HAVE A 3 HOUR SHOW NOW!

Leave him the way he is. Not everything has to appeal to adults or be a main event monster. Brodus is just fun.

I sincerely hope that they don't turn Clay into "The Fall of Humanity". I'll admit it, I used to be one of Brodus Clay's biggest fans. The novelty has worn off on me though, and I don't care as much for him anymore (Goodbye Brodus, hello Ryback)
But the LAST thing Brodus needs is to become just another monster. We've seen it so many times before, and these days it really takes a lot to make it work. As much as I hate to say it, Brodus doesn't have the wrestling ability to make it work. He used to be over, but that's drained considerably.
No ability, not over, + monster gimmick: Not gonna work.
Keep the Funkasaraus, and honestly, with the way Tensai is going, why not pair the two together? Tensai can be the wrestling, Clay can be the promos (Brodus does have a surprising amount of charisma from what I've seen of him), and see if that gets anywhere first. I mean hey, you never know until you try?

With Tensai... people couldn't buy into it for many reasons. And, with Clay, they didn't have him go anywhere. This is exactly what I warned about wasting TV time without any direction.
As for the debate, when the highlight consist entirely on Big Show's podium falling apart and one of his rebuttals being "45 SECONDS?!!?", you know you failed.

LITERALLY! Cole: and now we'll go to Show for his rebuttal and... your podium is missing. Show: I dunno where it went- I'M CONFUUUUUUUUUUUUSED that would've saved the segment.

What to do with Brodus and Tensai... With Tensai, yes he's been jobbing, but he's been getting on upper card tv each week and having entertaining, hard hitting matches. Would repackaging him move him up to the main event? I'm not so sure. With Brodus. I think something's up with him. He hasn't had a real wrestling match yet iirc. I think he might be irredeemably terrible in the ring. So Fall of humanity or not, it won't work.

I'm so against the end funkasourus. Because that would mean no more Carmen and Naiomi. That not a good thing.
